Chapter 71: The Engagement Gift

A bead of blood appeared on his thin lips, just a small break.

"Somebody is coming."

Qin Mo had blurted that out impulsively.

But as soon as she finished speaking, the atmosphere turned a bit delicate. Her words somehow implied that what they were doing was not meant to be seen. It was clearly him who had forced a kiss on her, so why did she also feel guilty?

Why did it always feel like they were sneaking around doing something? They were clearly innocent!

"What are you afraid of?"

Chu Yiqin looked at her, his voice very cold.

She retorted stubbornly, unable to clearly explain even to herself what was going on. Perhaps it was because she had gotten so close to this man that she now felt a bit odd.

Knock knock.

A tentative knock came from outside, slower than the first time.

Qin Mo, with an unknown surge of strength, pushed him away; she ran to the couch and warily watched the man.
