Both Gwenette and Freyah looked out the window of the plane as Monica approached them. It was true—Florence was still healing the man.

In the novel, whenever Florence used his healing magic on severe and life-threatening injuries, there was always a time skip. Freyah hadn't thought much of it before, but now that she was witnessing it firsthand, she realized it was far more complex than she had imagined. Florence's healing magic couldn't regenerate a lost limb, but it could reconnect severed ones. The only one capable of full limb regeneration was the female lead.

"Why did you bring that dying man here?" Monica asked. "Based on how his hand was severed, he was probably bitten. Did you check him?"
