Karasuno and Fukurodani continued to exchange points, with Fukurodani holding a slight advantage as they managed to block a large portion of Karasuno's attacks, leading 6-4. It was now Daichi's turn to serve.
"Daichi-san, nice serve!" shouted Hinata as he watched Daichi serve toward Bokuto, who easily received it.
"From what I remember, Bokuto is pretty good at receives, just like most of their players. We'll need stronger serves to destabilize their defensive system..." thought Hinata as he watched the ball go to Akaashi, who decided to set up a quick attack with Onaga. Onaga tried to spike the ball into Karasuno's court, but Daichi dove to keep the ball up.
"But it's not like we're not good at this either!" thought Hinata as he started running and preparing to jump even before the ball was close to Kageyama's fingers. As soon as Kageyama touched the ball, he sent it toward Hinata, who was already in the air. Together, they executed their super-quick attack. Fukurodani, like every team experiencing this attack for the first time, was unable to react or even jump, standing frozen on the ground with shocked expressions on their faces—along with the players from Nekoma, Ubugawa, and Shinzen who were watching the game.
6-5 Karasuno.
"WHAT WAS THAT?!" Bokuto exclaimed, snapping out of his stunned state.
"That attack was really strange... Number 10 jumped before the setter even made the pass, and it was done with insane precision!" analyzed Akaashi.
"CAN WE TRY TO DO THAT?" Bokuto asked excitedly.
"I don't think that's something we should try, and I doubt we could pull it off!" Akaashi observed.
"Hey, Kuroo, when we played against Karasuno in that practice match, they didn't use this! Did they hide it from us?" Yaku asked.
"They really didn't use it. Whether they deliberately hid it... I don't know," said Kuroo, still shocked by the attack he had just witnessed.
"No... they hadn't mastered it yet. Knowing Shoyo, he wouldn't hold back against a strong opponent, even in a practice match," Kenma said calmly.
"Kenma-san! You should try doing that with me!" Lev pleaded.
"No way... that would never work," Kenma immediately rejected Lev's idea.
"Hehehe, Hinata and Kageyama's super-quick always causes chaos the first time it's seen," Ukai said cheerfully, enjoying the other teams acknowledging Karasuno's power.
"Do you think you could stop it?" asked Yamiji, Fukurodani's coach, as he looked at Washio, who was sitting on the bench.
"I don't know. It's really fast, especially if you don't see it coming," Washio explained seriously.
"I see," said Yamiji as his attention returned to the game. Daichi served toward Sarukui, who received it and directed the pass to Akaashi. Akaashi looked at Bokuto, who was already preparing to attack from the back row. After jumping before the center line, Bokuto faced a triple block from Hinata, Asahi, and Tanaka. He hit the ball with all his strength, sending it off Asahi's hands and out of bounds.
6-6 Tie.
"HEY, HEY, HEY! LOOK HOW AWESOME I AM! THEY CAN'T STOP ME!" Bokuto shouted, pointing at the Karasuno players with a confident smile.
"Looks like this is going to be a showdown!" Hinata said, grinning.
"BRING IT ON, ROOKIE!" Bokuto replied, looking pumped.
After Bokuto's point, it was Konoha's turn to serve toward Karasuno's court.
"Mine!" said Nishinoya, easily receiving the ball.
"Nice receive!" Kageyama praised as he positioned himself under the ball.
"To me!" Hinata called, raising his hands.
"Hmm, aren't they going to use that super-quick again?" Bokuto wondered as he watched the play from the back row.
After jumping and receiving a high, deep set, Hinata decided to use his left-hand trick, letting the ball drop slightly to deceive the block and scoring an easy point for Karasuno.
7-6 Karasuno.
"Don't get me wrong, Bokuto-san, our combo attack is strong, but I don't rely on it to score!" Hinata said confidently.
"You're fun!" Bokuto said, staring at Hinata as he listened to his words.
"Seems like that guy's full of new tricks..." Kuroo observed.
"The left hand... he spiked it with his left hand..." Kenma noted.
"What's the big deal about him hitting with his left hand?" Lev asked with a slightly disinterested and sarcastic tone.
"You idiot! It affects how we block him because if we position ourselves wrong, what you just saw happens. And if he keeps switching the hand he uses to spike, our blockers will have to constantly worry about which hand he'll use. Plus, it changes the ball's rotation during receives!" Yaku explained.
"Wow... just the hand he uses to spike changes all that?" Lev said, a bit surprised.
"Alright! My turn to serve!" Hinata thought as he went to the serving position with high expectations. After holding the ball for a few seconds, he tossed it up, jumped, and hit it with all his strength, using his power-focused serve.
"It's mine!" Bokuto said as he stepped in front to receive the ball, but it exploded off his forearms and flew out of bounds.
8-6 Karasuno.
"What a strong serve! But I'll stop it!" Bokuto said, getting fired up.
Next, the ball flew toward Bokuto again, who tried to receive it but watched it bounce off his arms and go out once more.
9-6 Karasuno.
Hinata served again, but this time the ball went toward Fukurodani's libero, who was preparing to receive it. However, he saw Bokuto frantically running toward him from the other side of the court.
"IT'S MIIIIINE!" Bokuto shouted as he dove to receive the ball after crossing the entire court.
"Konoha-san..." Akaashi said in a dark tone as he watched the ball fly away from him after Bokuto's forced receive.
"Got it!" Konoha said as he positioned himself under the ball to set it up for Sarukui, who managed to spike it past Karasuno's block.
9-7 Karasuno.
"Bokuto-san, you idiot! Stay in your position!" Akaashi scolded.
"I had to stop that guy's serve," Bokuto said, laughing.
