Chapter 86 : Banned Move

As the voice fell, a massive wooden dragon with a hooked nose and spikes all over its body burst through the thick smoke on the arena stage, revealing itself to everyone.

"What… what kind of move is this? A wooden dragon?"

One of the spectators couldn't help but speak up. "And it's huge! It's not as big as that giant from before, but it's coiled around almost the entire stage!"

Another spectator swallowed hard. "Is this kind of move even allowed?"

"You idiot, U.A. only said he couldn't use that giant from before. They never said he couldn't use this!"

"That's true… but I have a feeling that after this match, if that guy Ezaki Kitazawa wins, the school might ban this move too."

"If that really happens, wouldn't that be too unfair to him? If they keep banning all his powerful moves, how is he even supposed to fight?"

On the other side of the arena, among the pro heroes—

"So, this kid's name is Ezaki Kitazawa, right?"

One of the pro heroes suddenly asked.

"Why? Are you guys thinking about recruiting him?"

Ryukyu, who was nearby, chimed in. "I saw that U.A. is running a workplace training program, so I was thinking of inviting him to our agency, hehe."

The pro hero scratched the back of his head. "Hahaha, you might not want to get your hopes up. Your agency doesn't have that much fame, and newcomers like him need exposure. Even if you extend an invitation, he probably won't accept it."

"Hey, you never know! Anything's possible!"

"Forget it, I already asked him. He said he'd consider it, but it was pretty obvious he already made up his mind to refuse."

Ryukyu smirked. "Tch."

A nearby pro hero was surprised. "Looks like Ryukyu really has an eye on him, huh? That was fast—you even went and asked him yourself!"

Another pro hero teased, but Ryukyu just smiled and didn't say anything else.

Meanwhile, in the stadium, Bakugo Katsuki glared at the massive wooden dragon, frowning as he instinctively took a few steps back. He gritted his teeth and yelled, "Damn bastard! What kind of moves are these?! Can't you fight normally for once?!"

"Bakugo! I'm coming at you, so be careful!"

Standing on the dragon's forehead, Ezaki Kitazawa warned him.

"You bastard!"

Bakugo cursed again, then immediately launched himself forward, stepping onto the dragon's body as he charged straight toward Ezaki's height.

Watching Bakugo bounce his way up, Ezaki smirked. With a wave of his hand, the wooden dragon suddenly moved, its body swinging to slam into Bakugo.

"Booom!"

Bakugo was sent crashing into the ground.

"It's over!"

Ezaki declared as the wooden dragon lunged forward.

But there was no way Bakugo would accept defeat this easily. He clenched his teeth, endured the pain, and started dodging.

"Kacchan!"

"Kacchan!"

Wherever the wooden dragon passed, the concrete stage shattered into rubble.

"This is insane! Bakugo Katsuki is completely overwhelmed by Ezaki Kitazawa! He doesn't even have a chance to fight back!"

Present Mic shouted from the commentator's booth.

"Damn it! Damn it!"

Hearing Present Mic's commentary, Bakugo Katsuki completely lost it. He stopped running, standing still as he unleashed his explosive Quirk repeatedly, attacking the incoming wooden dragon.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Explosions rang out nonstop, and thick black smoke once again covered the entire arena. The audience could no longer see what was happening inside, but one thing was certain—the battle was intense. From within the dark smoke, they could see flashes of light.

At that moment, Bakugo Katsuki suddenly leaped out of the smoke, clapping his hands together as a black vortex began to form.

"Mega Explosion!"

He roared and began to descend.

Inside the smoke, a beam of light burst out, immediately followed by a powerful explosion. A shockwave swept across the arena, rushing toward the audience.

The next second, even Bakugo Katsuki was sent flying. He crashed onto the ground, coughed, and spat out a mouthful of blood. Just as he was about to charge at Ezaki Kitazawa again, Present Mic's voice rang out.

"Incredible! Ezaki Kitazawa wins this match with overwhelming strength once again!"

Bakugo Katsuki froze. That was when he realized he had been knocked out of bounds. But since the arena had been completely wrecked again, it was understandable that he hadn't noticed right away.

"Hah…"

The crowd erupted into cheers once more.

"The winner of this round is Hero Course's Ezaki Kitazawa! He advances to the next stage!"

Midnight raised her voice.

"Let's all congratulate Ezaki Kitazawa!"

Present Mic shouted, and the audience roared in celebration again.

"But I've got both good news and bad news," he continued. "Just like the giant from before, Ezaki Kitazawa's wooden dragon has proven to be extremely destructive. So, the school has decided to ban it!"

"Banned?"

Bakugo Katsuki's mood finally settled a bit. First, Todoroki's giant got banned. Now, his wooden dragon was banned too.

Hmm… If he compared it that way, it felt like he was even with Todoroki.

"Just like Todoroki, you two are improving really fast," Ezaki Kitazawa said with a smile as he walked over.

Fast?

Bakugo Katsuki almost cursed out loud. He and Todoroki had been training insanely hard during self-study, thinking they could close the gap.

But Ezaki Kitazawa?

Not only had the gap not closed, but it had widened even more.

"You bastard, not a single one of your moves is normal. But the next competitors should be thanking me and that half-and-half guy because we're the reason your disgusting tricks got banned."

After throwing out that remark, Bakugo Katsuki turned and left.

Meanwhile, Cementoss and the others arrived to repair the stage.

"Mr. Cementoss, shouldn't we file a complaint?"
