Chapter 111: The Final Exams End

During his fight with All Might, Ezaki Kitazawa mainly relied on his own combat skills. For him, this was the perfect opportunity to test his limits.

"Ha!"

Through the thick cloud of dust, a loud shout rang out. Right after, a powerful explosion sent shockwaves sweeping across everything nearby. In the blink of an eye, a massive crater appeared.

"Huff... huff..."

Ezaki Kitazawa was breathing heavily. But just then, All Might suddenly burst out from the dust cloud.

Unfortunately for him, just as he was about to reach Ezaki Kitazawa, a mechanical voice interrupted.

"Ding! Ezaki-Midoriya team, conditions met!"

"Boom!"

All Might deliberately pulled his punch at the last second, and the force of the wind cleared away most of the dust.

"Well done, young Ezaki."

Hands on his hips, he gave a nod of approval.

Ezaki Kitazawa forced a smile. If that announcement hadn't come just in time, he would have had to take that punch head-on.

"As expected of All Might... his strength is terrifying."

"Terrifying?"

All Might paused for a moment, then burst into laughter. He patted Ezaki Kitazawa on the shoulder.

"If anyone here is terrifying, it's you. You're still young. By the time you reach my age, you'll probably achieve far more than I have."

Ezaki Kitazawa smirked.

"That might actually be true."

"Hahaha!"

All Might laughed along with him.

With that, the first exam ended.

Ezaki Kitazawa and Midoriya Izuku returned to the break room.

"You're amazing, Ezaki! I can't believe you actually managed to hold off All Might! My plan was just to keep running, but I didn't expect things to turn out like that."

Midoriya wiped the sweat off his face with a towel as he spoke.

"We just got lucky. If All Might hadn't been wearing those ultra-compressed weights, I wouldn't have been able to hold him off."

Ezaki Kitazawa wasn't being modest—he was just stating the truth. It was clear during the fight that All Might had been holding back.

But if Ezaki had gone all out and used his Quirk to the fullest, he might have actually been able to stall him.

"Are you going to watch the next exams?"

Midoriya asked.

"Yeah, staying here is boring. Let's go check it out."

After a short break, they headed to the surveillance room.

As they watched the other exams, Ezaki Kitazawa saw that many of his classmates had improved a lot.

Before long, the final exams came to an end.

The next day—

"Everyone, I can't wait for you all to come back and tell us about your training camp experience!"

"If you fail the exams, you don't get to go. Instead, you'll have to stay behind for brutal extra lessons."

"And... well... the four of us didn't pass the practical exam."

Kaminari Denki looked like he had just eaten something bitter. He kept muttering to himself.

The ones who failed the practical exam were Kaminari Denki, Kirishima Eijiro, Ashido Mina, and Sato.

Ezaki Kitazawa was a little surprised by this.

Even Mineta managed to pass, yet those four—who weren't exactly weak—didn't make it.

Of course, the exams weren't entirely fair. After all, different students had to fight different teachers, which led to some weaker students passing while stronger ones failed.

"It's not like failing means you can't go to the training camp. Don't be too upset," Jiro Kyoka said.

"But who knows? Maybe there'll be a twist," Midoriya tried to comfort them.

"If you really feel bad for us, why not give us something?"

Kaminari grumbled.

"Huh?"

Midoriya looked completely confused.

Just then, with a loud "click," the classroom door swung open, and Aizawa Shouta walked in.

"When the bell rings, I expect everyone to be in their seats."

The moment he finished speaking, the whole class quickly sat down.

He scanned the room, let out a sigh, then stood at the podium.

"Good morning. Regarding the final exams... unfortunately, some of you didn't pass. That means for the training camp—"

He deliberately paused for a moment.

Then, in the next second, he revealed a sly grin.

"Everyone is going."

"Huh?!"

The four students who had failed felt like they had just experienced a rollercoaster from hell to heaven in a matter of seconds.

"We get to go too?!" Kirishima shouted excitedly.

"Yeah. Everyone passed the written test, but four of you failed the practical exam.

But training camp is meant to be an intensive program to help you all improve, so the ones who failed need this even more.

So when I said you couldn't go, I was lying."

Aizawa grinned again.

With the class meeting over, there weren't many lessons left.

The semester was pretty much wrapping up.

During the break, Ezaki Kitazawa pushed open the door to the teacher's lounge and walked in.

"All Might, I heard you were looking for me?"

Ezaki Kitazawa spoke in a calm voice.

"Ah, young Ezaki! You're here!"

All Might got up and walked over to him.

"Do you need something?"

"There's still a little time before the training camp. Do you have any plans in the meantime?"

All Might asked.

Ezaki Kitazawa shook his head.

"No."

"Hahaha! In that case, let's go have some fun!"

All Might grinned.

"Where exactly?"

Ezaki Kitazawa looked at him curiously.

"A massive mobile city overseas!"

All Might responded with the third update, asking for full subscriptions—repeating it three times to emphasize its importance. He urged everyone to support the series. Also, the story was about to enter the movie content, so the author was going to catch up on the anime first!
