Chapter 52: Unspoken Bonds

Liam's eyes snapped open.

His breath came out in sharp, uneven gasps, his body drenched in cold sweat. His chest rose and fell rapidly, his mind still trapped in the remnants of the vision.

Daemon's voice echoed in his head.

"Get ready, Liam."

"Because the next time we meet, I will make sure you live up to your name—The Fallen Alpha."

Liam gritted his teeth. His fingers dug into the sheets beneath him as he forced himself to sit up.

It was a warning.

His golden eyes flickered toward the dimly lit room, his surroundings slowly grounding him back in reality.

Not standing over the corpses of everyone he cared about.

But he couldn't shake the feeling that he was running out of time.

With a sharp inhale, Liam swung his legs over the side of the bed, burying his face in his hands.

He needed to move.
