First Event (1)

Over the span of five centuries, the world transformed into a land of vast territories and distinct powers. The current world was divided into four major domains: the Human Domain, the Trinity Domain, the Orc Domain, and the Demon Domain. Each of these regions held its own history, culture, and systems of rule.

The Human Domain was governed by the mighty Eryndor Federation, a powerful alliance led by eight prestigious families known as the Pillar Families. These families, each ruling their own territories, were the backbone of human civilization. They were the Drenmor Family, the Bravehart Family, the Raven Family, the Emberfall Family, the Frostheart Family, the Lionheart Family, the William Family, and the Evercrest Family. Together, they maintained order and control, ensuring that the human domain flourished under their rule.

The Trinity Domain was home to three races—vampires, elves, and dwarves. Unlike the human domain, which relied on a unified alliance of families, the Trinity Domain was ruled separately by the royal families of each race. The vampires were led by the powerful Vampire Monarch, the elves followed the wisdom of their Elven Queen, and the dwarves were guided by the strength of the Dwarven King. Though distinct in governance, these three races shared a fragile balance, coexisting in relative peace.

The Demon Domain, in contrast to the others, was ruled by the infamous Seven Demon Kings. Each of these rulers embodied one of the Seven Deadly Sins: the Demon King of Pride, the Demon King of Wrath, the Demon King of Sloth, the Demon King of Greed, the Demon King of Envy, the Demon King of Gluttony, and the Demon King of Lust. Together, they ruled the entirety of the Demon Domain.

Daemon closed the heavy book with a soft thud, leaning back in his chair. He was seated in the quiet corners of the library, its warm sunlight spilling across the wooden table. It was Saturday morning, and in just an hour, he would be leaving for a trip to Calvaria City. Known for its breathtaking historical landmarks, the city was a hub of culture and history, and today was the day of the first event.

Over the past week, Daemon had focused on preparing himself as much as possible. He'd honed his sword techniques diligently, and his skill, Sword Mastery, had significantly accelerated his progress, allowing him to improve with remarkable efficiency.

Although his physical stats hadn't increased by much, the small gains were still meaningful. Daemon got up from his seat and went towards his room to take all the necessary things for his trip.

As Daemon stepped out of his dorm room, he made his way toward the Academy's grand entrance, where the group was scheduled to meet. His stride was steady, his mind focused on the task ahead. Before leaving, he carefully stored the Knight's Sword in his subspace inventory and packed a few healing potions—essentials for the journey.

When Daemon arrived at the meeting point, he saw the group already gathered. At the center stood a young man with black hair and striking blue eyes, his bright smile lighting up the space around him., Arthur who was surrounded by his friends, their animated chatter filling the air.

A little distance away, Daemon's gaze landed on Celestina Frostheart, her aura of icy elegance unmistakable. As always, Victor was close behind her, following her every move with a devotion that bordered on obsession.

'Pathetic,' Daemon thought with a flicker of disdain as he glanced at Victor. His expression remained unreadable as he quickly shifted his gaze elsewhere.

Just then, a cheerful voice rang out, pulling everyone's attention. "Hey there, everyone!" Jin, the club leader, greeted the group with his usual enthusiasm.

Jin's voice broke through the air again, drawing everyone's attention. "Most of you probably already know about our club's reputation," he said with a bright smile that never seemed to fade. "Well, the name says it all—we're all about learning arts and history! But more than that, we're here to escape the serious atmosphere of the academy. We get to leave everything behind, even if just for a day or two."

Daemon listened quietly, recalling the events he knew would unfold. It was a fun idea in theory, but knowing the protagonist and his group, trouble would always seem to follow, no matter where they went.

'Escape from the academy, huh? It doesn't matter where you are. If you're with the protagonist, the problems will always find you,' Daemon thought with a quiet chuckle to himself.

"Alright, folks, let's find out who your partners are!" Jin continued, excitement in his voice. He gestured to the assistant, who stood by holding a box full of folded slips of paper. "People at the front, come and grab a name!"

Amelia was the first to step forward. She reached into the box, pulled out a slip, and called out, "Daemon."

Her voice carried a hint of annoyance, a faint touch of disappointment as she said his name. Daemon's expression soured for a moment, but he quickly masked it with indifference. 'No worries. It's not necessary for us to group up once we reach the city,' he reminded himself.

He tuned out the rest of the name call, his thoughts drifting away. He didn't need to listen any longer. With a small sigh, Daemon reached into his bag and pulled out his headphones. He slid them over his ears, selecting a playlist and letting the music fill his mind, blocking out the chatter around him.

He was content, especially now that he had some extra money in his pocket. He had splurged on a few things, including the headphones, and he was glad he did. Music was one of the few things that always kept him grounded.

"Now that the pairs have been finalized, it's time to go," Jin announced, his voice cheerful as ever. With a wave of his hand, he led the group out of the academy and toward a small bus waiting for them. This bus would take them to the portal connecting Academy City with Calvaria City, where their journey would begin.

The bus was filled with a mix of excitement and curiosity. Students chatted among themselves, discussing everything from what they expected to see in the city to the adventures that awaited them.

Daemon, however, kept to himself. He had arrived early, choosing a seat near the back of the bus with a window to himself. He slid his headphones on and leaned his head back against the seat, closing his eyes to enjoy the music. But as the minutes passed, he could feel it. The gaze. It was intense, and Daemon knew exactly who it was.

Amelia.

Since they had been paired together, it was expected that they sit together on the bus. Though once they arrived in the city, that wouldn't matter anymore.

Daemon didn't acknowledge her presence, his attention fully absorbed by the music playing in his ears. But he couldn't shake the feeling that Amelia was still staring at him. The silence between them was palpable, but Daemon chose not to engage.

The bus ride went by quickly, and before Daemon knew it, they had already arrived at the portal station. The portal itself was an awe-inspiring sight – a swirling vortex of magic and technology that connected two distant cities in an instant.

As we emerged from the portal into the Calvaria City, everyone seemed to be excited.

"All right, everyone," Jin's voice carried over the excited chatter. "Here's the plan – you are free." He said, cutting his own words. "Since today is the orientation day, you are free to wander around the city as you please but note that you need to be here around 8 PM. Is that clear?"

""""Yes.""""

Soon, the bus arrived at their destination, and everyone started to leave. Some students left in the pairs they had been assigned, while others gathered with their friends. Daemon noticed Arthur standing with Celestina, a faint tension in the air. Victor, standing a little farther away, was glaring at them, his eyes filled with jealousy.

'This was the day when Celestina first showed interest in Arthur,' Daemon thought to himself, his gaze lingering for a moment.

Without wasting any more time, Daemon turned and walked away from the group, heading towards the location of the first event.

*********

The Calvaria Museum, one of the oldest museums not just in Calvaria City, but in the entire Human Domain, stood tall as a symbol of history and culture.

Today, however, was no ordinary day. It was the day of the first event—the [Terror Attack on Calvaria Museum].

The museum became the target of an attack by the Demonic Humans. These were humans who had made a pact with demons to gain power. There was no grand political scheme behind the attack, just pure terrorism. The demonic humans had no real agenda—at least, that's what they wanted to show the world. They were reckless, but not stupid.

Their aim was simple: they planned to steal the [Mystic Eyes], the eyes of the Mad Sage, which were also a hidden piece. To obtain the eyes, they had to fulfill a specific condition, and it would set off a chain of events. While the leader and a group of demonic humans would fight the main cast, delaying them, the rest would get the eyes. At the most critical moment of the battle, one of the henchmen would pass the eyes to their leader, and then the final confrontation would begin.

The main cast would unite and, together, defeat the leader, with Arthur delivering the final blow, ultimately killing the demonic human leader.

Daemon thought to himself, 'That was how things were supposed to unfold today, but now that I'm here, things are going to be different. It will be me who will get the [Mystic Eyes].'
