Battling A Fire Sprite.

" Hey beast! Pick on someone your own size!!" Kenji said with burning anger in his chest. How dare such a low life creature try to hurt cute little children? He's not going to let that happen!

Rrraaahh!

The fire sprite roared in anger, as it shook it's flaming body to loosen up, and suddenly a huge fire ball flew out of it's mouth, rolling in the air with the intent to kill.

It mived so quick in the air, that without noticing it, the fireball was only a few distances away from hitting him!

Kenji swung the tree branch again, hitting the fireball and directing the huge ball of fire to another tree, burning it up!

Keni looked at the branch in his hand, ready to hit another of the fire sprite's attacks, when he realized that the branch in his hand was already scorched to coal! He was literally just carrying a big chunk of coal right now!

He then turned his head to look at the tree which had just been burned up by the fireball, only to realize that it too had been scorched black like coal!

Rrraaahh!!

Kenji looked back at the monster who seemed to be ready to release another fireball, and if it does, Kenji might just become a coal-made human statue.

But then he turned his head to the kids behind him, and the fear in their eyes suddenly made his heart skip.

He felt wronged!

Like someone had broken his possession!

" You're dead!" Kenji scowled angrily, as he braced himself for the next fireball. No matter what, he's going to kill that beast today, and make sure that the kids behind him have a scrumptious meal later!

Pow!

The fireball was released, this time hotter than ever, as it launched itself towards the human who was trying to protect those kids.

Kenji immediately used the piece of scorched wood in his hand to try and hit the fireball away. But as the branch came in contact with the second fireball, it disintegrated into ashes, leaving Kenji defenseless!

" Damn it!" Kenji exclaimed, as the fireball hit his face, sending him flying over the children and into a nearby tree.

"Mr!" All three kids exclaimed simultaneously, as they rushed over to Kenji.

Arriving at his body, the male in the three suddenly pushed Kenji's body over, so as to check if he was alive or not.

But as he did that, Kenji's fingers suddenly twitched, then his arms moved and patted the boy's head," don't worry, i'm fine," Kenji said while getting up.

The kids all revealed shocked exppressions as they saw that. Did this mr just survive an attack from a B rank fire sprite when he was F rank?!

Crazy!

Kenji looked at the fire sprite after getting up, and he could clearly see the look of suprise in the creature's eyes.

With the amount of suprise going on, Kenji too realized his shock. How did he survive that attack? He was meant to have been turned into fried chicken by that attack, how is he still here standing like a confident person?

" Well now, let's try that again," he said, pushing the thought of 'how' to the back of his mind, as he walked up to a tree and tore off a huge branch from the tree. Then, he broke off a smaller one.

He wasn't sure if he would survive another fireball attack, so it was best to be careful, as they say; Prevention Is better than cure!

The fire sprite immediately spewed out another ball of fire, and it was immediately followed by another!

Two flaming fireballs we're headed straight for Kenji!

With a steeled exppression, Kenji swung the branches in his hand, sending the fireballs flying off in different directions, but that also marked the end of the tree branches in his hand, as they were now charred black to coal.

Seeing that Kenji was looking at the tree branches in his hand, the fire sprite used this opportunity to flare out another fireball with more force and precision.

In his moment of distraction, Kenji didn't realize that a huge ball of fire was heading towards him until he felt the heat radiating from it. But it was too late...

Boom!

Once again Kenji was hit by the fireball, and once again, he didn't die but get up with much more determination.

" It seems your fireballs don't have any effect on me other than blowing me a few feet away, meaning...you're too weak!" Kenji said with a menancing smile.

Seeing Kenji's menancing smile, the fire sprite shivered a bit, as it took a step back. If his fireballs are useless against his opponent, then he who was made out if the same heat and strength of the firballs would surely only be able to do the same level of damage. It then unconsciously hung it's head low to the ground like it was bowing to him in submission!

Seeing this, Kenji was estatic! Finally, he isn't the one that has to bow to someone or something's will just because they were stronger than him, now they had to bow down because of him.

But even after seeing this, Kenji wasn't going to let the beast go. He had almost hurt the kids and had the intention of killing him when he had just been revived from the death realm.

The offense was; UNFORGIVABLE!!

Kenji suddenly flashed from his spot with some kind of strange enhanced speed that he didn't know he had.

He raced towards the beast, fist clenched, as he delivered a punch to the creature, sending it flying backwards without stopping until it crashed onto a tree a bit far away.

Rrraaahh!!

The fire sprite exclaimed angrily, as it jumped into the air and spewed out three fireballs all at once. With every single one directed at Kenji!

As the fireballs we're hurled towards him, Kenji smiled," if one couldn't even scratch me, then three definitely still won't be able to kill me!" He said, confidence that he didn't know he had suddenly began overflowing in his voice.

As the fireballs finally arrived, Kenji decided to try playing with fire, as he punched the fireballs one after the other, sending them flying onto other trees!

Impossible!

That was the only word that was left in the fire sprite's head.

This human was impossible!

" Now... it's your turn," Kenji said, staring at the flame sprite like a predator watching a rabbit.
