Shopping

A new determination settled into me at this moment.

I walked back into the shop with Elara right behind me.

"Hikari!"

She glanced towards me stopping mid sentence while arguing with Elias who also turned my way.

"I'm going to Aeloria in hopes to find my brother and for answers"

"Wai-"

Hikari stood up and screamed out.

"YES"

I walked towards Elias sat across from him.

"Elias… I'm sorry I can't stay I need to find my brother"

"I understand why you would do this. I know we really haven't known each other for long but before you even leave for Aeloria can we have a talk privately"

"Yeah I guess we can but I'm pretty sure we will be leaving for Aeloria in like a few days" I turned over to Hikari.

"We should be leaving tomorrow night" she replied.

"Oh Okay then we can talk about it before you leave for the city"

Elias stood up and cleaned up the tea.

I also stood up and walked over to Hikari and Elara.

"So where are you guys going to stay?"

Hikari turned to me and replied

"I'm staying with Elara for the moment so don't worry about us"

I turned to Elara. She nodded signifying that it was true.

"Hey Elara I wanted to ask are you going to Aeloria with Hikari?"

"I'm thinking about it. I don't really have anything here for me and Hikari just invited me to go and train under her"

"Oh well it would be great if you went with us"

I smiled to her she smiled back.

"I guess you wouldn't have fun with out me I'll have my answer before you guys leave"

"Ok then you guys have a goodnight sleep I know I will"

Elara and Hikari both left.

I walked towards the kitchen where Elias was.

"Hey Elias do you have a shower or something?"

"Shower?"

Damn it I keep forgetting they may not have stuff from where I'm from.

"Do you have anything I can use to wash myself?"

"Ohh yeah I do it's downstairs in the basement make sure to watch out for some of the containers down there you'll see the bath down there"

"Ok? I'll go take a bath quick and head to sleep"

"Ok but tomorrow we will have work to do and I wanted to talk to you about your special technique"

"Yeah no problem I'll see you tomorrow Elias good night"

"Good night"

I walked downstairs and found the bath. It was surprisingly clean and was a big wood bowl that could fit up to 3 people.

I took a quick bath and headed up staires in my room to find a set of clothes already on there. It looked like Elias old clothes. It was just a blank white long sleeve shirt and black shorts. I'm going clothes shopping tomorrow because there's no way I need anyone to see me wearing this garbage.

I sat down on my bed.

"Damn I really wish my clothes didn't get ripped while I was getting eaten but life does come at a cost" I mumbled to myself.

I went under the covers and headed to sleep.

Waking up in a daze. Blinking hard to wake up. I stood up from the bed and headed down staires to get ready for the day.

"Oh hey your up now!" Elias greeted me.

Still tired I managed to let out a reply.

"Yeahhh" I said yawning.

"Good go get ready and we will get started with work"

"Yeah I also wanted to head to the clothing shop if I could before because last night-"

"Yeah yeah I understand I'll give you early payment"

"Thanks Elias it means a lot"

"Alright go get ready so you can go shopping"

I went and wore my ripped pants because there was no way I was going out in shorts.

I walked out side to find once again the city was acting as if nothing happened last night which I can still hardly believe.

I walked down the street to find a store that sold any clothes but I couldn't read the language. I finally found a shop but once I entered I found Elara shopping there too.

I pull my hand up and waved to Elara.

"Hey Elara your going shopping?"

"Yeah… I decided to go with you and Hikari to Aeloria"

"Oh! You did? That's great!"

"Yeah I think this will benefit me so I'm glad to be going with you guys"

"Thats good but have you gone shopping yet here or did you just get here?" I asked.

"Oh I already shopped here I was just about to head out"

I noticed that she had a whole different outfit than last nights. She was wearing white long sleeve blouse under a sleeveless vest that was navy blue and she was wearing a high silt skirt.

"I see your new outfit. It really fits you" I said with a smile.

"Oh thanks I was just going for a new outfit because we are heading to the capital and I think I'll need to look good"

"Yeah… I'm not really sure what I'm going to wear I don't really have any clothes that's why I'm here"

"Oh you don't? I can help you look for clothes that may fit you"

"You can! That would be amazing"

We shared a smile towards eachother.

We walked to the tailor.

"What may I get you this evening" he said.

"Um-"

Suddenly Elara interrupted.

"He will need those black shoes behind you, those pants there too, that grey undershirt , that black button shirt, and a coat too" she said.

I looked towards her in confusion.

"Are you sure I need all that?"

"Yes"

"Really?"

"Yes"

The tailor interrupted.

"Sir this way please"

"I'll wait right here" Elara said.

"Got it" I pointed thumbs up to her.

I followed the tailor where he measured me.

"Going out on a date with the lady back there?" The tailor asked.

"Oh no no we're going to Aeloria"

"Aeloria! Wow I've never been but I heard it's the city of the rich and powerful. A friend of mines went there before and told me it's beautiful"

"Really? I've never been I'm pretty excited"

"You should be!"

He started to measure me.

"I think that should do it. Let me go get the out fit for you"

"Yeah no problem"

He came back with the outfit.

"Wow she really does have good outfit choices"

"You can stay here and change I'll go up to the counter and wait for you there with the lady just make sure to go there once your done"

"Yeah got that"

I looked at the clothes in my hand.

"Wow these look great" I mumbled.

The pant she chose for me was such high quality and the color really fits with me too. It was a light grey colored pants. The shirt was also high quality and was colored black that fitted me perfectly. The cloak was dark black, it was long down to my thigh, it fitted perfectly and was comfortable.

I walked to the counter. Elara turned around towards me. Her eyes opened wide in surprise.

"Wow. It looks great on you"

"It does? Then I'll get this!"

I asked how much it would be and payed for it still wearing the outfit.

"Hey Elara I think I'll need to cut my hair too I feel it's gotten a little too much for me"

"What? I really like your long hair! It makes you different"

We started to walk out the shop and outside.

"Ok then I'll just untie it"

"I guess that's fine…"

"I don't think I can untie it myself could you help me?"

"Yeah no problem"

We walked to a place where we could sit and the only place that fitted that was a staircase. I sat on the bottom of the staires while Elara sat right behind me.

"So this thing is what's keeping it from falling?" Elara asked.

"Yeah it keeps it all together all you have to do is pull my hair through the hole towards my head and I think I can do the rest"

"Sure no problem"

She pushed my hair following the directions I gave her.

"Is that it?"

"Yeah you did great Elara!"

A smile was on her face.

I stood up and turned towards her.

"Do I look any different?"

She made the same face she made when she saw me in this outfit.

"Do I?" I kept insisting.

It looked as if she was choking on her words.

"You look so differe-" she suddenly bursted out laughing.

"It can't be that bad?"

"No no it's not that" she was still laughing.

"It's because you look so much better it's just a funny difference" she continued.

"Really" i said with my eyebrows up.

"Yeah I think your old hair was holding you back because you look…" she suddenly stopped talking and her cheeks were red.

"Look what? Are you sick or something?"

"No you can't know sorry" she said.

"Ok? But how can I see my hair? Im not sure how I look at the moment" I asked.

"Ok then let's go to a lake in this city I know one that's close by" she said.

She sat up and walked ahead of me taking the lead.

"Let me lead you there" she said turning back to me while walking with a smile.

I don't what this is but suddenly my face felt flushed.

"Ok then lead me" I replied.

We walked to the lake with me behind her following around 2 feet apart. It was quiet but it wasn't an awkward type of silent. She looked happy when I was looking her from behind. I've never seen a side of her like this. Back in the bar she looked kinda sad her face said a lot.

"We're here!" She said suddenly.

It had only been around 5 minutes since we left the stairs.

"That's great" I said while walking to the lakes side.

I look into the water to see my reflection and to my surprise I kinda look the same but my hair is down to my neck.

"Elara what do you mean I look different?" I asked.

"Well your hair was pulled back more before but now it looks more loose but still swept back and your hair is down to your neck opposed to before where it was tied up to the back of your head" she replied.

"Oh I guess that's different" I said.

I walked towards a rail and looked at the sunset.

"DAMN IT!" I screamed out.

"W-what is it?" Elara replied.

"Elias is going to kill me. I was supposed to be at the shop awhile back but time got the best of us"

"Your right! I was supposed to meet up with Hikari back at my place!" She replied.

"It's fine I think we were supposed to all meet up at Elias shop anyways later tonight. I'll head back to the shop and I'll see you later tonight" I told her.

"Okay then I'll see you then" she replied as I ran off.
