Shocking News

Oh shit, you mean she didn't tell you?

He could tell by my expression alone that I had no idea Ren changed schools.

Well kid, good luck with that. I'm heading off to bed.

Wait! At least give me the name of the school.

I don't know if I shoouuld, if Ren decided not to tell youu... Ahh, what the hell, it was Twin leaf academy I think.

Okay, Thanks!

He rolls his eyes, closing the door, and I run off to try and find the school. I knew it wasn't in town because I had never heard of it before. I decided to head off to the train station. I asked around for directions to the school. It was alot of work actually finding out where to go because most people were middle-aged men on their way to work in a bad mood. I found out it was about 30 minutes away by train. I knew I had to go. I mean, why didn't she tell me anything? She just disappears and stops answering my calls? What the hell?

Once I arrived, I got to see the school building in all its glory. It was a prestigious school. One lady back at the station told me it was nearly impossible to in roll. I always knew Ren had good grades, but not like this. Having second thoughts, I nervously walked onto the campus and into the building. In moments like these, I'd usually have her by my side, giving me courage, but now I was all alone. I knew I needed to see her more than ever. I already started missing her comfort more by the second. I gathered myself and managed to find a teacher. She wore a uniform that looked very expensive and classic teacher glasses, a very attractive woman for her age I'd say.

Hey miss, excuse me, but could you help me find my older sister? She had just enrolled, but she forgot to take her medicine this morning.

I obviously lied to the teacher, considering she might refuse to let me see her being a random guy showing up at their school.

Ohh I see, what's her name?

It's Ren Kirigaya

Yes, Ren, of course, the bright blonde beauty.

The.. what?

Well, it's just that the students gave her that nickname after just seeing her while she was visiting for an interview.

I can understand that.

Well, let's hurry on and get your sister her medicine. You're in luck, classes haven't started yet.

Really? It's like 9 pm

Yes, but as you may know, we are not like other schools. The schedules may vary from the public ones.

We walked through large corridors with large stained-glass windows. The whole school had that European mansion aesthetic going on. It looked like a king and queen were living here. We got to a large room with stairs leading up to different areas and a huge crystal crown light hung from the ceiling in the center. Many students sat around different tables and enjoyed cups of tea and coffee making small talk.

Holy shit...

I accidentally whispered out loud.

Language young man! I understand that you aren't a student, but while being present on school grounds you are forbidden from using such profanity.

I-I'm sorry, it's just that I never imagined a school like this existing outside the movies.

Sitting at one of the tables talking to three other girls, Ren sat and enjoyed her own little cup of coffee. I always hated how her breath smelled after drinking that stuff.

We approached and as we walked towards her table, the girls facing our direction looked at us and as they glared, Ren turned her head and met my gaze.
