"Impossible! How can a human's strength suddenly break through so much? Were you perhaps hiding your power? Even still, it's not enough to kill me!" The Demonic Phantomstorm Cat growled, withdrawing its claws from Leonel's neck.
The cat had already planned its escape, knowing that humans had such a slow growth rate. It intended to quickly rise in strength to create a power gap large enough to bypass the contract's rules and kill the boy. But now, it might be more difficult than anticipated. Perhaps staying low for a while would be the most reasonable course of action.
"Show me its stats!" Leonel demanded.

Leonel was astonished by the stats. Its power was greater than that of the strongest humans he had ever encountered. Now, such power was under its control... He couldn't help but smile at his good fortune.
"Truly... I am Heaven's favored," Leonel muttered, patting the cat on its head.
---
"Why the sudden change in attitude?" The cat teleported away from Leonel, clearly annoyed. "Your patting is starting to annoy me."
---
"Well, I just got a glimpse of your strength and decided you deserve more respect!" Leonel said with a genuine smile as he stood, looking around.
There was no doubt—this was the forest of Terra. Legend had it that a tomb with great inheritance lay hidden within it, but only those without an evil heart could claim it.
As far as Leonel knew, he hadn't done anything that would dub him as evil.
Suddenly, the system issued an urgent quest in front of him.
---
[Quest: Find the Great Tomb of Terra and acquire its inheritance.
Reward: True Spirit of Earth]
---
"True spirit? What are those?" Leonel muttered, having never heard of such a thing. After all, spirits were not part of the five great races. He wasn't aware that demons had ten times the senses of humans, and Charion easily overheard his question.
"Truly human-like... How can you be so ignorant?" The cat sighed, disappointment in its voice as it observed Leonel.
---
"Well, instead of belittling me, why don't you enlighten me instead?" Leonel shot back, his tone serious. Time wasn't on his side. Whenever the system issued an urgent quest, it was meant to be completed with haste.
---
"If I must!" Charion growled, clearly unwilling but obliged. "The spirit races are divided into three types: World Spirits, Fairies, and Divine Spirits. Divine Spirits are rare and have no sub-categories, while Fairies are also rare but not as much as Divine Spirits. Fairies are further divided into three types: Elemental Fairies, Echo Fairies, and High Fairies.
Elemental Fairies are manifestations of natural forces like fire, water, air, and earth. They're temperamental and powerful, often shaping the environment around them.
Echo Fairies are formed from lingering emotions, memories, or voices of the past. They can be echoes of people, events, or places that refuse to be forgotten.
High Fairies are the rarest of all. They're manifestations of the universe itself—said to have existed before demons, angels, and maybe even gods. They control concepts of reality itself.
As for World Spirits, there are five classifications: Low Spirits, Battle Spirits, Supreme Spirits, True Spirits, and Celestial Spirits. Celestial Spirits are the highest of World Spirits, standing on equal footing with High Fairies and Divine Spirits."
---
Charion's explanation was thorough, but Leonel had already gauged the importance of the True Spirit of Earth. It wasn't something he could afford to miss.
---
"Hey Charion! Let's get moving! There's a True Spirit I need to find!" Leonel urged, walking deeper into the forest. Charion followed closely behind but suddenly stopped in its tracks.
"Hey, human! How did you know my name?" Charion asked, confusion and caution filling its voice. It knew it had never told Leonel its name.
---
"Well, as your master, wouldn't it be strange if I didn't know your name?" Leonel said without turning around. Of course, he knew Charion didn't believe him. But it wasn't as though he could reveal his cheat skill.
---
"Very well," Charion said reluctantly. "Since you already know my name, it's only fair that I know yours. Also... what do you mean by having a True Spirit to find?"
---
"Well, I can't tell you everything, but I will say this: I am favored by the heavens, and they guide me on all my paths. That's how I know your name. As for mine, you can call me Leonel!" He flashed a smile as he turned to face Charion.
---
"Leonel… I see," Charion replied, its voice suddenly softer, almost gentle. Although Leonel couldn't really tell, he noticed a strange tone in the way the cat said his name.
---
[Bond +10%.
Reward: 1 Evolution Point.
Do you wish to give it now?]
---
"No!" Leonel replied firmly, shaking his head.
