Part 21. Against the traitorous Bodyguards

They waited long enough to get bored. "They're so stupid," Haisley said.

Lucas frowned at Haisley's words. They had been silent for so long, and suddenly Haisley was calling them stupid. What was Haisley thinking to call them stupid?

"What do you think?" asked Lucas, who was still frowning.

"Yes, they're stupid. It's been like this for so long, but none of them realized the key was missing. Actually, that's good, so they won't be on standby when delivering food. It's just that, if it continues like this, it will take too long for us to get out of here. The sooner they realize they've lost their keys, the better," Haisley said.

"Why is it better? It's better that they don't know that their keys are missing," Lucas said with an incredulous look at Haisley.

He should feel lucky that the bodyguards out there, who were already their enemies, were unaware so they would have more freedom to act. "I have to catch them off guard, I even put the key near the door where it won't be discovered. So I can take advantage of them to get closer," said Hailsey.

"You're a fool if they find the key in this room. They'll be more wary because they'll be afraid we'll attack. We'll lose first," Lucas said, glaring at Haisley.

"Hum," was all Haisley could mutter.

Lucas gave Haisley an annoyed look, but there was nothing else he said after Haisley only answered him with a mumble. After a long wait, two bodyguards finally entered with food for Haisley. The food was exactly what Haisley had ordered. They did not notice at all that one of Haisley's legs was not bound, Haisley was already standing up as she smiled at the two bodyguards.

"Eat! Don't act up anymore!" said one of the bodyguards after putting all the food in the plastic.

Hasiley was still smiling sweetly, making the bodyguards shiver at Haisley's smile. They both turned around, and Lucas quickly wrapped the chains around the necks of the two bodyguards, he twisted the chain around the first bodyguard once and quickly twisted it around the neck of the other bodyguard.

During this time of silence, Lucas thought about how to take down the bodyguards. Finally he had this idea. He just needed to do it quickly so that two people were suffocated at once. Haisley smiled, then pushed the two bodyguards onto the bed. She pulled the blanket over their heads so that their voices could not be heard.

Their voices didn't really come out, as Lucas continued to pull hard. Their movements had stopped, causing Lucas to loosen them. "Don't!" Haisley said immediately.

"They're just pretending," Haisley said. "People like them can pretend to be dead," Haisley said.

"That's impossible," Lucas said, and he released his grip on the chains.

"Look, they're not moving anymore," Lucas said confidently.

Haisley was silent, it was possible that they were not using manipulation techniques. But, just in case, they did.

Haisley got off the blanket because she sat on the edges of the blanket so that the blanket did not open up to make the sound of the two bodyguards come out of their room. She used both hands to press the noses of the two bodyguards.

Haisley got off the bed, and then she took the pistols that were on the back waist of the two bodyguards. Hailsey handed the two pistols to Lucas. "I can't use them, so you use them. I'll use the chain against them," said Haisley, whose pistol Lucas accepted.

"Now, what should we do?" asked Lucas.

"Kill ourselves," Haisley replied.

"What do you mean? We need to be free, not kill ourselves," Lucas fumed.

"Lower your voice, sir," said Haisley.

"We're pretending to be dead," said Haisley.

"That way they'll come in, or we go straight out and fight them. Those are the only two options at the moment. There are no windows in this room for us to escape through. So, the only way is through that front door. If you want, we'll go straight out that door.

"We go straight out that door, it's too hard to move around in a small room," Lucas said.

"This room is easier because they have no way in except through that door, so we can easily kill them right away. We can shoot them, and their point must be looking up to the right and left sides. We can position ourselves in a crouch and make sure to shoot for the heart," Haisley said.

Lucas handed over one of his pistols. "I can't use it," Haisley said.

"So, how do we deal with them? If it's only one side?" asked Lucas.

"I told you, I'll use chains," said Haisley.

"A gun and a chain, is that really possible?" asked Lucas.

"We'll see, sir," said Haisley.

"Now you fire the gun to lure them in," said Haisley.

Lucas, who initially rejected Haisley's idea that if it was indoors, it would be difficult to move. But, after Haisley said it, he followed Haisley's strategy. Lucas fired his gun in any direction until the door to the room they were in opened. Lucas immediately shot the person who entered.

Realizing the threat in front of them, they did not enter and instead threw sleeping gas. "Hold your breath," Lucas said and pointed his arm towards his nose and mouth so he wouldn't inhale the gas.

Haisley, however, was silent and held her breath. She pulled her T-shirt up over her chest to cover her mouth and nose. Haisley threw the end of the chain at Lucas. Lucas looked at Haisley with a puzzled look.

"Hold it," Haisley said, and Lucas immediately complied.

Lucas followed Haisley's hand movements, and he understood what she meant. They were going to trip the bodyguards up. Hopefully, they wouldn't faint first when they faced the bodyguards.

The bodyguards standing guard outside when she was escorted to Lucas's room were only about six people. But she didn't know if there were more outside. Especially if they heard gunshots earlier. It was possible that many of them had entered this room. Unable to hold his breath any longer, it was Lucas who eventually collapsed first, and it wasn't long before Haisley collapsed.

They went in and carried Lucas out of there, while Haisley was now in chains where Lucas had been. "You'll feel what my sister feels," someone said.
