The pair of Kachito and Zotawa had begun their journey together. However, they still did not get along. As night fell on the first day of their travel, they set up a small camp and a fire, beginning to eat food they had packed before leaving. But, they began arguing quite quickly.
Zotawa: "You think you're special because master said he wants you to be Heavenly Swordsman, but all I see is a dumbass manchild! I'll never accept you as the Heavenly Swordsman, even if you do achieve it!"
Kachito: "Oh yeah, jackass? Then I'll make you!"
Kachito unsheathed Mochi and adopted a fighting stance. Zotawa saw this and stood up, drawing his twin katanas and assuming his own fighting position.
Zotawa: "Come at me then airhead."
Kachito shifted his feet on the ground before launching himself forward at Zotawa with a thrust, aiming to stab at him. However, Zotawa quickly crossed his katanas over his chest, preventing Mochi from piercing his chest. Zotawa's eyes flicked up to meet Kachito's, before swiftly moving his blades, throwing Mochi out of Kachito's right hand.
Zotawa: "How're you gonna be Heavenly Swordsman when you can't even keep your katana in your hand. Pathetic."
Zotawa moved to kick Kachito, planting his foot into Kachito's abs. Zotawa then pulled his foot back, channeling Kami no Chikara into it in order to kick Kachito again, in the side. The kick knocked Kachito down, after quite a tumble. Zotawa then leapt into the air, crashing down with both blades. Kachito narily rolled out of the way, avoiding the attack.
Kachito bounced back up and lunged for Zotawa, punching him with his prosthetic left arm while Zotawa was pulling his katanas out of the dirt. The punch sent Zotawa back, but not much. He then dropped the katana in his left and and punched Kachito in return, knocking Kachito out.
Zotawa: "How is this embarrassment going to be Heavenly Swordsman. Even with his damned heritage and gifts, he doesn't even make use of it-"
Suddenly, Kami no Chikara surged in immense amounts through Kachito, the aura flaring violently. Kachito's unconscious body got up shakily, picking up Mochi in his left hand. The Kami no Chikara was flowing in such large quantities that with such great power that it was steering Kachito's unconscious body. Kami no Chikara pouring into Kachito's every muscle.
Zotawa was flabbergasted, gazing upon an unconscious body being piloted through the Kami no Chikara within it. Zotawa picked up the katana he dropped, clutching it tight in his left palm. Kachito's body sheathed Mochi, having some semblance of Kachito's consciousness present despite his current state.
Zotawa: "How the hell is this possibl-"
All of a sudden, Kachito rushed Zotawa at blazing speed, Zotawa only hearing the shockwave of Kachito's movement. His speed much greater due to the Kami no Chikara pulsing in every muscle. Kachito then delivered a swift right hook to Zotawa's jaw.
Zotawa flew back, crashing into a nearby tree and knocking it down. Zotawa coughed a bit, before getting up steadily. Kachito's Kami no Chikara was draining very quickly due to the unconscious state he was in. So, his body quickly fell to the ground, no longer piloting itself.
Zotawa soon walked over, feeling his cheek after the right hook. Letting out an "Ack!" sound when feeling it. He looked down at Kachito, was regaining consciousness. The two looked at each other for a few seconds, before they both began laughing hysterically.
Zotawa: "You know, Kachito, you might not be half bad after all."
Kachito: "Yeah! After that fight I could say the same about you, Zotawa!"
The pair kept laughing, finding a newfound respect for each other through the act of raw fighting, fists and blades clashing. Somehow, someway, it formed a bond. It showed them both what the other was capable of, despite Kachito being unconscious for half of it.
Thus, a sort of comradery was born between the pair of Kachito and Zotawa. Despite the differences the two had from one another, they now held a sort of respect for one another. And only one statement was on both of their minds...
Kachito & Zotawa: "Y'know, you aren't half bad."
The two smiled at each other, before going back next to their fire. The pair resumed their dinner, now laughing about the short fight, this scuffle giving them a greater bond than any previous competition they had while students of Chie. Then, Kachito and Zotawa each got into their own respective futons, heading to sleep for the night.
The next morning, Kachito got up and stretched, before reaching into his pack and pulling a piece of mochi out, taking a bite of it for breakfast. Then, he got up and tied Mochi to his belt once more. Zotawa too got up, strapping his twin katanas to his belt and stretching as he arose.
Kachito put a hand over his mouth, yawning before he looked at Zotawa.
Kachito: "So, where are we headed?"
Zotawa: "A place called the Seishin Village. That's gonna be our first stop on this journey."
Kachito nodded and once the two were ready, they began to head off. The next stop on their path being the village known as the Seishin. And so they went on. The pair now no longer enemies who harbored intense hatred for one another, but rather friends and rivals. Both wanting to compete with one another, while also respecting each other. And so, the journey progresses.
