In the Volcano, Ramses and Krull hold Josh, Trisha, Alex and Jessica hostage with their hands bind and forced on their knees.

Trisha: You know something; your brother was so right about you. You're a total dick.

Ramses: Silence, you stupid wench. You're giving me a headache with your moping.

Krull: This was your idea, Ramses. If it were up to me, I would've executed all of them.

Ramses: Yeah, well, it's not up to you.

Jessica: Hey, asshole! Why you doin this?

Krull: You should ask your leaders when he gets here.

Alex glares at Krull.

Krull: You....you are the dead one's son....don't worry, boy....if all goes well, you'll be with your mother soon.

With his eyes turning into his flame form, Alex advances at Krull. During the argument, Quantum, Dragonfly, Sun Sorceress and the Owl are sneaking around while Caspian is doing the same from another vantage point.

Trisha: Leaders? You mean James and Tombs? Haven't you done enough to-

Ramses: I said shut your goddamn mouth, you Enhuman bitch!

Ramses whacks Trisha on the head with his trident, knocking her down.

Alex: Trisha!

Josh: You bastard!

Josh manages to get free and shock Ramses, before Krull restrains him with his powers.

Krull: You've got spirit, boy....but it won't help you.

A tense pause.

Ramses: Okay, Krull.....you're right...let's kill one....starting with the girl.

Alex: No!

Alex gets free of his binds and bursts into flames, before punching and freezing Krull. He then punches Ramses with his fiery first, before Krull breaks free from the ice and punches down Alex, incapacitating the two young adults.

Ramses: You all have incredible skills. Electricity. Neon. Invisibility.....

Ramses turns to Alex.

Ramses: And you! The power of fire and ice!

Quantum: oh, crap....

Dragonfly: What's the play here, Dad? It's just those two. We can take them.

Sun Sorceress: Yeah, but Krull's too powerful to attack from the front.

The Owl: Well, we gotta figure out something...they're going to kill them.

Quantum: Okay...here's how this is going to work. James, Charles, you two attack from the front. Eva and I will attack from the r-

As Quantum, Dragonfly, Sun Sorceress and The Owl are attempting a plan, suddenly, Krull's magic power grabs a hold of all four of them. Quantum attempts to laser blast, but Krull's power restrains his head, causing him to shoot aimlessly. Quantum is restrained in front of Sun Sorceress to keep him from using his laser vision.

Krull: You might want to refrain from using your laser powers, boy.

The Owl screeches his sonic screech, before Krull wraps his magic powers around his throat, ceasing his screeching.

Ramses: Perfect. The teachers....or at least, what looks like the telepaths pawns. Now, all that's missing is my--

Caspian jumps into the air and attempts to strike, but Ramses maneuvers and punches Caspian into the wall, before Krull restrains him using his magic powers.

Ramses: Speak of the devil. (to Caspian) Brother.

Caspian: Ramses. Let them all go.

Ramses: Of course, I will, but first, I'm going to make this very VERY simple. Give me the Heart of the Sea and I will spare your allies.

Josh: Don't give him shit, Caspian!

Krull strikes Josh.

Krull: Silence.

Caspian: Ramses.....why are you doing this?

Ramses: Why? Why? Because truth be told; the surface is a terrible brewing of humans and Enhumans. We must show that we Atlanteans will not withstand the abuse of their pollution in our seas...We will give them a reason to fear the ocean.

Caspian: This isn't what father would want.

A moment.

Ramses: No, it wouldn't.....had you be king, you would've continued fathers' weak dream of peace between the humans and Enhumans.....had I not taken action.

Caspian: Wait.....what are you saying?

Ramses: (laughs) Well, I may as well tell you now.....

Ramses leans in Caspian's ear.

Ramses: I killed Father.

Enraged, Caspian advances at Ramses, but is still restrained by Krull's magic powers.

Caspian: Why?! Goddamn it, why?! Your own father!

Ramses: I've already told you why.....he was weak and so are you.....I will finish what the Enhumans have started thousands of years ago! I will lead this army to conquer the surface world, but first; I need the Heart.

Caspian: Go to hell.....

Ramses: (scoffs) John Parker of the Supers. You'd better convince my brother to give me the Heart, because if you don't.....I will kill each and every one of your students and then your friends before I cut your sons head off and make you blast your daughters' head off.....and then I'll kill you right in front of Caspian so he can succumb to the guilt of how he got his Enhuman allies killed.

A brief tense pause.

Ramses: Your choice. Krull....

Ramses points to Jessica

Ramses: Crush the girls' head.

Alex: No!

Krull begins to use his magic powers to torture Jessica, by magically searing into her head as the team struggles to get free.

Trisha: Stop it!

Alex: Jessica!

Dragonfly: Damn it! V.O.X? You got anything?!

V.O.X: Attempting to find a-

Suddenly, Krull rips off Dragonfly's helmet and crushes it.

Krull: Your A.I. won't help you here.

Krull continues to torture Jessica.

Ramses: This Enhuman is tough.....her will is strong....but not strong enough...

Krull: She dies in three seconds....

Alex: Caspian, please.....just give it to him. Please!

Krull: Three.....two.....

Caspian: Okay! Stop! Stop!

Krull releases Jessica from the torture. Ramses approaches Caspian.

Ramses: Where is it?

Caspian: My pocket...

Ramses searches Caspian's pockets and finds the Heart of the Sea crystal.

Ramses: (laughs) At long last, it's mine! The power of all Atlanteans in the palm of my hand.

Caspian: Ramses, you have the crystal....now let them go.

A brief pause, before Ramses smirks.

Caspian: No.....no....don't....don't!

Ramses: Oh, brother, you should know I was never going to keep my word. So, two things are going to happen now. First: I'm going to destroy this Atlantean island for aiding you and giving Enhumans sanctuary and finally, Enhumans, you aided my brother and I am king. The punishment for aiding a fugitive is death, so fortunately now, I have to kill you...well, correction; I have to kill one of you.

In fast pace, Ramses fatally stabs Josh in the chest with his trident as the moment is bleak and silent. Trisha is watching and screaming in horror as Alex and Jessica give a look of shock. Ramses takes the trident spear out of Josh's chest, who falls mortally wounded to the floor.

Trisha: Josh!

Alex: Josh!

Dragonfly finally gets free and blasts Ramses, before shooting Krull with a blast ray, freeing the others from his magic restraints. The Supers tend to the wounded Josh.

Alex: Josh!

Trisha: Josh! Josh! Look at me, baby!

Krull and Ramses escape, but not before, Quantum attempts to use his laser vision to stop them. Suddenly, Krull blasts the laser beam back as it hits the structure of the volcano, activating it.

The Owl: Uh....anyone else feel that rumble?

As the volcano erupts, lava begins to burst out of the ground.

Quantum: Uh.....oops....

Trisha: Guys! We need to get Josh out of here!

The Owl: He needs medical treatment!

Dragonfly types on his armor wrist pad, before the Eagle automatically piloted by V.O.X swoops in and lands in front of the team as they enter, carrying the fatally wounded Joseph.

Trisha: Hold on, Josh. You're going to be okay.

Quantum: James, how we doing?

Dragonfly: (checking armor wrist pad for volcano temperatures) lava temperatures rising.

Caspian: The crystal...we must-

Jessica: Guys! It's getting hot in here!

The Owl: Take us up, V.O.X!

The Eagle takes off as the volcano bursts, allowing lava to flow just as it flies away from the raging river of lava. As the Eagle lands in town square, the Supers step out as Trisha tends to Josh.

Genesis: What the hell happened?!

Sun Sorceress: Ramses....he stabbed him.

Scarlett: And the Heart of the Sea?

Quantum: He has it.

Mammoth: What?!

Red Dragon: Then we have to-

Trisha: Right now, we have to tend to him....he's bleeding out...

Josh: (weakly) Trisha.....Trisha....

Trisha: Babe, don't try to talk, alright....just stay still...

Alex: Is he doing to be okay?!

Alex looks behind him to notice the volcano wall fissure beginning to explode.

Alex: Uh....guys.....Guys! The volcano! It's exploding!

Quantum: Oh, no.....

The Owl: Even with all our powers combined, we can't stop this whole damn volcano from erupting.

Quantum: No.....we can't stop it, but we can save this city.....

Genesis: How?!

Quantum turns to Alex and Jessica.

Quantum: Alex! Jessica! You two need to use your powers to stop this!

Alex: What?!

Jessica: Just us!

Quantum: Yes! Jessica, you need to build a force field around the city. Alex! You have to use your ice powers to freeze that lava!

Alex: But—

Jessica: I've never built a force field that big before!

Sun Sorceress: It's okay! You guys can do this!

Jessica grabs Alex's hand.

Jessica: She's right. We can do this!

As the volcano wall explodes with a giant wave of lava heading straight for the island, Alex bursts into his ice mode and ice slides over to the raging lava tsunami as he begins to freeze the lava while Jessica uses her invisibility powers to create a giant force field around the entire island. Although Alex freezes most of the lava, a wave of lava flows over the giant shield, before Alex finally manages to cool most of the lava, turning it to rubble, before Alex uses his fire hand to blast the stone lava apart. Afterwords, the team recovers while Jessica kneels, tired. Alex ice slides over to Jessica, depowering into his normal state, before he kneels down to Jessica, helping her up.

Alex: Jessica! Are you okay?!

Jessica looks into Alex's eyes and shakes her head.

Jessica: We did it....we saved the city.

Alex: We did....

Quantum approaches Alex and Jessica, smiling

Quantum: Well done....both of you.

Alex nods.

Dragonfly: Dad!

Quantum, Alex and Jessica turn their heads to the rest of the team continues to tend to the dying Josh, before The Owl approaches them with a saddened look.

The Owl: He.....he....his wound....it's-

Quantum places his hand on Dragonfly's shoulder.

Quantum: I know, son.....it's alright.....

Trisha continues to cradle Josh in her arms as the rest of the Supers team is in tears and sadness as Josh gently touches Trishas' face.

Josh: Trisha....I....

Before he can get out what he wants to say, Josh dies in Trisha's arms. Jessica cries as

Alex comforts her, fighting through tears. The Owl is in shock and sadness, while Sun Sorceress is in shock and sadness as Dragonfly mourns also. The Purifiers silent look down in sadness as a sign of respect. Caspian, feeling guilty, approaches Quantum.

Caspian: John, I-

Suddenly, an enraged Quantum stands up and strikes Caspian, before Atlantean guards aim their spears at Quantum, but Caspian orders them to stand down.

Quantum: You son of a bitch! This is your fault! He's dead because of you!

Caspian: (in Atlantean) Stand down! It's okay!

After some tension, Dragonfly speaks out.

Dragonfly: Dad.....

After some tension, Quantum backs off from Caspian.
