"Boom! Boom! Boom!!"
At dusk, the people of Konoha Village suddenly heard a loud roar from the distance. Moments later, the entire village began to shake violently.
"What happened? Is it an earthquake?" Naruto struggled to stand up from the ground at Training Ground No. 7, dusting off the dirt from his body as he looked around in confusion.
Kakashi gazed solemnly in the direction of the village entrance. At that moment, he had no intention of continuing the assessment. Something terrible had clearly happened near the village, and he was deeply concerned about its safety.
"It's not an earthquake. An earthquake originates from underground and moves upward, but this disturbance is different!"
Sasuke seemed to sense something and turned his gaze toward the village entrance.
None of the three noticed that Karin, who was tied to a tree stump, had gone pale. Her lips were tightly pursed, and she looked like she was in great pain.
Naruto noticed Karin's unusual state. Just as he was about to ask, a sharp pain suddenly erupted from his lower abdomen, causing him to collapse to the ground again.
"Ugh…!" Naruto curled up, clutching his stomach. At that moment, Kakashi finally noticed both Naruto and Karin's conditions. He quickly cut the rope binding Karin and rushed to check on her.
"Karin, what's wrong?" Though anxious, Kakashi kept his voice calm, not wanting his unease to spread to the children.
"It… hurts," Karin gasped. Kakashi's expression tensed at her response. He immediately turned to Naruto and asked, "Naruto, are you feeling the same pain?!"
Naruto, unable to speak through the pain, could only nod weakly.
"Could it be…?" Seeing Naruto's response, Kakashi's heart sank. Both Naruto and Karin had experienced the sudden pain right after the tremor. It was clearly not a coincidence. A suspicion crept into Kakashi's mind—this had to be connected to their status as Jinchūriki.
"Sasuke, carry Naruto on your back. I'll carry Karin. We're heading to the Hokage Building."
"I'm afraid something serious is happening!"
Kakashi swiftly lifted Karin onto his back and leaped into the treetops. Though Sasuke didn't fully understand the situation, he knew that something was very wrong. Without hesitation, he carried Naruto and followed Kakashi toward the Hokage Building.
Boom!!!
Another deafening explosion echoed. At Konoha's entrance, a man in strange attire casually waved his hand, launching a black energy sphere toward the village's barrier. The next moment, a violent explosion erupted outside the barrier. The once-transparent shield finally began to crack under the relentless assault.
"The barrier won't hold much longer! Everyone, stay on guard! We must not let this intruder enter the village!"
Behind the barrier, Konoha's gate guards gathered, watching the enemy in tense silence.
"Who is that?! Is he from the Hyuga Clan?!"
Kotetsu Hagane narrowed his eyes at the attacker, his expression grave.
The enemy had appeared outside Konoha without warning and launched an attack without uttering a single word. Fortunately, Konoha had recently been preparing for an expansion, and the Barrier Team had been rigorously training under Uzumaki Raiden to improve their defensive techniques. Thanks to their efforts, the village managed to withstand the initial attack.
Kotetsu observed the man carefully. He was dressed in a white robe, with no identifying symbols or insignia—except for his pale eyes. That single feature made Kotetsu's mind race.
Byakugan!
Only the Hyuga Clan of Konoha possessed this dōjutsu. No other village had it!
"After sleeping for so many years, the world has changed so much. Humans have mastered such power…!"
"I sense a powerful chakra presence in this village. If I can absorb it, I should be able to recover 60–70% of my strength!"
There was deep longing in Otsutsuki Kianshi's eyes, but his two consecutive attacks had drained him. He needed to rest.
A thousand years ago, he and his subordinates discovered this planet and attempted to cultivate the Divine Tree. However, they encountered resistance from the sages of this world. The overwhelming force left him on the brink of death, while his subordinates were completely wiped out.
The massive stone tablet containing his life essence had been shattered. However, thanks to his immense power, Kianshi managed to preserve his body and a trace of chakra. After a thousand years of slumber, he had finally awakened.
Starving like a man who hadn't eaten in days, he instinctively sought out chakra to consume. After regaining some strength, he detected multiple powerful chakra signatures in Konoha and rushed over—only to face unexpected resistance.
As Otsutsuki Kianshi continued his attack, more ninjas gathered at the village entrance. Those who sensed the tremors had rushed over, forming a defensive line. Though their eyes were fixed on the enemy, none of them made the first move.
"These humans have actually mastered chakra?! What happened to this world…?"
As more people assembled at Konoha's gates, an inexplicable sense of unease gripped Kianshi's heart. These were mere ants—yet, for some reason, facing them sent chills down his spine. The strange sensation irritated him, and he raised his hand, preparing to strike again.
A massive energy surged in his palm, just as he prepared to unleash another devastating attack. However, before he could act, a sword suddenly slashed toward his neck from the side.
"What?!" Kianshi's eyes widened in shock. Reacting swiftly, he retreated as an energy burst intercepted the incoming blade.
Boom!!!
Another explosion erupted—not against the village barrier this time, but in the open area outside. The sheer force of the blast sent a powerful shockwave through the surroundings.
Inside the barrier, the Konoha shinobi stared wide-eyed, struggling to process what had just happened. As the smoke cleared, a lone figure stood at the village gates.
"It's Raiden-sama! He made his move!"
"Thank goodness, Raiden-sama is here!"
"Quick, let's go out and support him!"
Through the fading dust, Raiden stood tall, clad in Lightning Armor, gripping the Sakegari no Tachi in one hand. His long, crimson hair and electrified aura were unmistakable. The moment the villagers recognized him, a wave of relief swept through them.
"Everyone, remain inside the barrier! Do not step outside without my command!"
Raiden's firm voice cut through the air just as the shinobi prepared to charge out.
"Who are you?!" Raiden fixed his gaze on the intruder. Though the stranger's power was nothing compared to his own, the presence of Byakugan and two protruding horns made it clear—this being was not human.
Otsutsuki! And an unfamiliar one at that!
He seems to have been seriously injured… his strength isn't as formidable as expected.
Raiden frowned. This unexpected Otsutsuki attack was completely off-script. Konoha had been peaceful for years—no Orochimaru invasion, no Akatsuki attack, and yet, out of nowhere, an Otsutsuki appeared! The shocking development was beyond anything Raiden had anticipated.
And worse, this was nothing like the Naruto world he knew.
"You dare ask for my name, you insignificant insect?!"
"Prepare to perish, and you shall know it soon enough!"
Otsutsuki Kianshi finally identified the source of his unease—it was Raiden. Now that the barrier no longer obstructed his vision, he could feel the overwhelming pressure radiating from the man in front of him.
Yet, despite sensing Raiden's terrifying chakra, Kianshi had no thoughts of retreat. He needed that chakra for himself.
"An insect?" Raiden chuckled, the corner of his mouth curling slightly.
"No one has spoken to me like this in years… I have to say, I like it!"
Raiden smirked, wasting no more words. In an instant, he vanished into a streak of light, and in the next second, the Sakegari no Tachi was embedded deep in Otsutsuki Kianshi's chest.
"So fast!" Kianshi's eyes widened slightly as his chest was sliced open.
[Is this all there is? Otsutsuki shouldn't be this weak…]
Raiden and Kianshi distanced themselves from each other. Raiden glanced at the half-torn Otsutsuki and couldn't help but feel puzzled.
He hadn't even used his full strength—not even the power of the Nine Tails. This was simply enhanced physical strength paired with Lightning Armor. While this level of attack stood at the pinnacle of the shinobi world, making him nearly unmatched, Otsutsuki should have been able to dodge something like that.
"Humans of this caliber… not easy to deal with."
Kianshi's expression darkened as his wound rapidly regenerated. Within seconds, his body was fully restored.
The Konoha shinobi inside the barrier, who had cheered at Raiden's initial strike, suddenly had their joy wiped from their faces.
Even Raiden himself was slightly surprised, but he quickly regained his composure.
"Regenerative healing… If it were anyone else, I'd be shocked. But for an Otsutsuki, it's expected."
Raiden casually twirled his sword and struck the ground with it.
"Killing an Otsutsuki leaves behind something called a 'karma mark'… I don't know much about it, and I don't want to risk any unforeseen consequences."
"Just to be safe, I won't kill him—I'll seal him!"
"He's already been seriously injured. His power is weak."
Raiden thought for a moment. His Lightning Armor faded, replaced by a golden chakra cloak that surged over his body.
At the same time, in Mount Myōboku, a shadow clone that had been gathering Sage Chakra for years dispersed. In that instant, Raiden's real body, still in Konoha, opened his eyes. Chakra erupted violently around him, exuding an overwhelming pressure.
"Alright, time to get serious."
"Come on… attack me with everything you've got!"
Kianshi smirked. If Raiden continued with physical attacks, things would be troublesome. Regenerating his body drained a considerable amount of chakra each time.
But if Raiden attacked using energy… that played right into his hands. He could simply absorb it and rapidly restore his strength!
Crack! Raiden clapped his hands together. When he pulled them apart, a tiny black orb, no larger than a thumb, appeared between them.
It began floating upward, rising higher and higher into the sky.
"What is he doing?" Kianshi frowned. The black orb vanished from sight, leaving him momentarily confused.
But in the very next second, golden chains burst from the ground, wrapping tightly around him.
"Hahaha! Finally, an attack!" Kianshi laughed to himself. He grabbed the chains, ready to drain their chakra—
But then, something terrifying happened.
He couldn't absorb them.
"W-what is this?!"
"You bastard! What did you do?!"
For the first time, Kianshi felt a true loss of control.
"As I thought—Sage-enhanced Kongō Fūsa works against Otsutsuki."
Raiden's expression remained unchanged. Ignoring the stunned expressions of the Konoha shinobi behind the barrier, he swiftly left the battlefield, dragging the bound Kianshi with him.
"Raiden-sama… took the enemy away?!"
The onlookers were left in shock. Just then, a yellow flash flickered at the village entrance—Minato Namikaze had arrived. He glanced at the massive crater left behind and scanned the area in confusion.
"Where is everyone? I can feel Raiden's chakra. Where is he? And… what happened to the enemy?"
The shinobi stepped forward and saluted. Afterward, Kotetsu Hagane reported, "Raiden-sama subdued the enemy and has taken him away."
Minato frowned. "Taken him away? Who was the enemy? And why would he do that?"
He quickly left the barrier, closing his eyes in concentration. The moment he sensed Raiden's location, Minato stopped hesitating and vanished in an instant.
A Remote Forest, Tens of Kilometers Away from Konoha…
Having carried the bound Kianshi far from Konoha, Raiden finally stopped.
"Why did you bring me here?" Kianshi demanded, a nervous edge creeping into his voice. He had tried to break free during the journey, but the chains held firm. Now that Raiden had stopped, he feared what would come next.
"What could I possibly do to someone like you?" Raiden mused.
"Don't worry, I won't kill you."
He looked up at the sky. The golden Kongō Fūsa stretched rapidly, extending far beyond sight.
"I don't know what made you so confident that you could challenge Konoha. You won't tell me, but I can guess."
"Otsutsuki… you can reflect on your mistakes in eternal darkness!"
Kianshi's pupils shrank in terror.
In the next moment, an overwhelming force pulled him skyward. The golden chains shattered at Raiden's command, and Kianshi's body was dragged upward like a lifeless puppet.
"Chibaku Tensei!"
Raiden's voice rang out as the gravitational pull multiplied exponentially. Even the earth itself couldn't withstand it—massive chunks of rock, soil, and trees were torn from the ground, spiraling toward the sky.
Kianshi was flung hundreds of meters into the air before finally glimpsing the source of the terrifying suction.
It was the black sphere Raiden had released earlier!
"Damn you! I won't let you get away with this!"
Kianshi roared furiously as layers of rock and debris enveloped him, sealing him away.
Raiden watched impassively as the Chibaku Tensei took form.
"So this is all the Otsutsuki amount to?"
His lips curled in faint amusement as he waited for the sealing process to complete.
