The world outside was in chaos. Not a single soul in the city slept through it. Even the most drunken individuals, stumbling home, were jolted awake by the earth's violent shaking. Buildings creaked and groaned as the earth shifted beneath them. People rushed outside in panic, fearing the destruction of their homes, but the tremor continued, as if nature itself had gone mad.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the earthquake stopped. Aryan stood still, his eyes closed, taking a long, shaky breath as he tried to absorb the impact. But just as he opened his eyes, something utterly unimaginable happened.
Aryan stepped back in shock, his breath catching in his throat. He froze, staring in disbelief at what he was witnessing. His own sweat droplets, once falling to the floor, began to defy gravity. They floated in mid-air, suspended as if gravity had suddenly lost its grip on the earth.
His eyes widened as he looked through the window, seeing the citizens outside standing in stunned silence. Everyone was slowly looking up at the sky, their gazes drawn upward by the strange phenomenon.
Across the city, the ocean water began to lift, defying all natural laws. It floated upward, swirling in the air as though the entire world had entered a new realm. People in coastal areas stood frozen in awe, watching as rivers and stored water in the villages above them began to rise, suspended in the sky.
For a brief moment, time itself seemed to stand still as the impossible unfolded before their eyes. But then, as quickly as it had begun, the water plunged back to earth with a massive crash. The force of the fall created a wave of destruction, tearing through homes, flooding the streets, and claiming everything in its path. People near rivers and oceans lost their shelters in an instant, the floodwaters overwhelming them in a chaotic surge.
Aryan stood in the hospital, watching the chaos unfold outside the windows, his mind racing. This wasn't just an earthquake; this was something much worse, something that no one had prepared for. The laws of nature had been broken, and the consequences were catastrophic.
The sky, once calm, now seemed different, as if the very fabric of reality had shifted. People screamed, running for cover, but no place seemed safe. As Aryan looked out, a sense of dread filled him.
Aryan hurried back home from the hospital, the chaos of the world around him making everything feel surreal. The strange events, the earthquake, and the floating water—nothing made sense anymore. He had found no answers about Violet and felt helpless in the face of the world's unraveling.
At home, overwhelmed with failure and despair, Aryan sat on the couch, his head in his hands. The weight of the situation—Violet's disappearance and the strange occurrences—left him feeling powerless and lost. In that moment, he could only sit in silence, struggling with the fear of what might come next.
In the dimly lit office of his brother, Mai stormed in, his face tense with urgency.
Mai: "Did you see that? Something terrible is happening. We need to stop him, or he's going to bring even worse disasters to everyone."
Kai, looking grim, ran a hand through his hair.
Kai: "I know. But what can we do? We still don't know exactly what he looks like. Our teams are still searching, but we're in the dark."
Mai nodded, frustration clear in his eyes.
Mai: "Yes, I know. That's why I'm here now. I have an idea."
Kai looked at him, curious but cautious, knowing Mai always had a plan up his sleeve. He waited, knowing this could be the turning point.
Day after Next day,
Aryan, Khushi and Richard walked back from the police station, frustration hanging in the air.
Richard: "Four days have passed, and still nothing. The police aren't making any progress. I'll ask my dad to involve private bureaus for a deeper investigation. Don't worry, Khusi, we'll find her soon."
Aryan nodded slightly but remained silent, his disappointment clear. They sat at a table near the highway, trying to clear their minds.
Khusi, "don't worry Aryan. Surely we get to know about her sooner ". And left the place as he had another work.
As they sat, Richard noticed a dog struggling to cross the road. He quickly went to help it. Aryan turned his head and realized it was the same dog he had seen before.
Seeing the dog, Aryan bought a bun and offered it. The dog wagged its tail excitedly but refused the small piece Aryan broke off. Aryan frowned, finding the behavior unusual.
Richard: "Looks like it wants the whole thing, not just a small piece."
Reluctantly, Aryan handed over the entire bun. The dog grabbed it with its mouth and ran off quickly.
Richard watched the dog disappear into the distance, puzzled.
Richard: "Why didn't it eat the small piece here? And why run off with the whole thing? That's strange."
Aryan remained thoughtful, the encounter adding to his growing sense that something wasn't quite right.
Determined to uncover the truth, he decided to follow the dog, with Richard accompanying him.
The dog led them to an abandoned construction site, long closed and forgotten. Aryan watched as it disappeared into a small tunnel. Curious, he approached quietly and peeked inside. What he saw left him stunned—a small girl, dirty and frail, eating the bun the dog had brought. She broke off a piece and fed it to the dog, who ate it gratefully.
Aryan stood frozen, watching the scene. The girl noticed him, her eyes widening with fear. She quickly retreated further into the tunnel, clutching the dog tightly. The dog growled, trying to protect her, its stance defensive.
Realizing the girl was terrified of him, Aryan slowly backed away, not wanting to cause more distress. He left the site, but not before returning with food for both the girl and the dog. Quietly, he placed it near the tunnel's entrance and walked away, hoping to ease their fear and provide them with some comfort.
Tring... Tring... Mai's phone buzzed with an unknown message.
Message: "I have good news, boss. We found the person."
Mai's eyes lit up with a mix of excitement and urgency. He placed his watch on the table and stood up abruptly, heading for the door.
Secretary: "Boss! Where are you going?"
Mai: "I'll be back soon. Don't follow me."
At the same time, Kai received a cryptic text.
Message: "Your brother found him."
Kai smirked, his expression both annoyed and impressed.
Kai: "Looks like my brother is a step ahead of me. No matter. Catch him before my brother gets to him."
The race was on, both brothers now locked in a silent battle to reach the mysterious individual first.
