LEAH'S POV
Ian must have sensed my hesitation, because he spoke again. "Is everything okay, Leah?" he asked, his voice full of concern.
I took a deep breath and decided to be honest. "I was just thinking about last night, and how... how things happened." I said, my voice faltering a bit.
"What do you mean?" he asked, his tone curious.
I took another deep breath and decided to just say it. "I was wondering if we could spend the night together again." I said, my heart pounding in my chest.
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, and I felt my heart sink. Had I said something wrong? Had I overstepped a boundary? I was about to apologize when Ian spoke.
"I'd like that very much." He said, his voice soft and warm. "When would you like to do that?"
I felt a wave of relief wash over me, and I smiled. "How about this weekend?" I asked.
"That sounds perfect." He said.
"Great," I said. "Do you want to meet at my place or yours?"
