LEAH'S POV
"I understand, Leah. I'm not upset at all," He said as he walked up to me and hugged me.
"I'm just glad we get to spend some time together even if it was for a short time,"
"Me too," I said, returning his embrace. "I'll be counting the days until we can do this again,"
"You're too sweet," he said with a smile. "Take care of yourself, Leah. And tell your sister I said hi,"
"I will," I said, feeling a pang of sadness at the thought of him leaving. "I'll see you soon, Ian,"
"Count on it," he said, giving me one last hug before walking down the path and out of sight.
As I stood there watching Ian disappear into the distance, I felt a mixture of emotions.
There was sadness at the thought of not seeing him for a while, but also a sense of excitement and anticipation for the next time we would be together.
I turned around and went back inside the house, feeling a little more hopeful than before.
