CHAPTER 78 Bodyguard

  LEAH'S POV

"No, I haven't told him yet and I don't intend on telling him. He shouldn't know her and she doesn't know him.

I don't want him to be involved in my life and my daughter's life."

"That makes sense," Clara says. "You get to decide who is a part of your life and who you share your daughter with. If you don't want Aiden to be involved, that's your choice. And I think it's the right one. Lana deserves a stable and loving environment, and that's what you can provide for her."

"Thanks for being so supportive," I say, feeling a sense of relief. "I know this is a big responsibility, but I'm ready for it. I want to give Lana the best life possible."

Just then my phone began to ring.

"Who could be calling me at such hours of the night?" I said.

  "Maybe it's Ian?" Clara said.
