CHAPTER 86 The Right Direction

  LEAH'S POV

  His arm tensed slightly, and I could feel him shift slightly in his seat. "Sure, I'm all ears." He said, his voice a little uncertain. "What is it?"

  I took a deep breath, trying to find the right words. "I'm having some doubts about whether our relationship is moving in the right direction." I said, feeling my heart race.

  "Oh. Okay." He said, and his grip on me loosened. "Why don't you tell me more about that?

  "Louisa called me and told me to meet her and when I did, she threatened me." I said.

  "She did what?!" Ian said.

  "She told me you belong to her and that I should stay away from you." I told him.

  Ian sat up straighter, his eyes widening in disbelief. "That's... not okay. I don't belong to anyone, and I certainly don't appreciate her threatening you. I'm going to have to talk to her about this." He said, sounding angry.

  "I don't want you to get into any trouble because of me." I said, suddenly feeling worried.
