CHAPTER 47 I Just Want to Be With You

  IAN'S POV

I tried to find the right words to say, but my tongue felt tied. Finally, I managed to say, "Hi, Leah. Thank you for inviting me over."

She smiled, and I felt my heart skip a beat. "Of course, Ian. Come in, please." she said, stepping aside to let me in.

I entered her house, and I was immediately struck by how cozy it felt. It was decorated in warm, earthy tones, and it smelled of cinnamon and apple pie. I felt immediately at ease.

"Can I get you something to drink?" Leah asked, leading me to the living room. "Tea? Coffee? Water?"

"Water would be great, thanks." I said, taking a seat on the couch.

Leah disappeared into the kitchen and returned a few minutes later with two glasses of water. She handed me one and sat down beside me.

I took a sip of the water and then looked at her, unsure of how to start the conversation.

"I'm guessing you wanted to talk about what happened today." Leah said, breaking the silence.
