CHAPTER 61 More Than You Know

  LEAH'S POV

  A smile broke out on his face. "Really?" he asked, his voice filled with hope.

  "Yes," I said, returning his smile. "But just remember, it's going to take time. And I'm not going to just forget about everything that's happened.

  "I know," he said, nodding. "And I wouldn't expect you to. I'm willing to work for it, to earn your trust. I just want the chance to show you that I'm the man you deserve,"

  I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I knew that this wasn't going to be easy, that there would be challenges ahead. But I also knew that if we could get through them, we would have something truly special.

  "Thank you," I said.

  "No, thank you," he said. "For giving me this chance. I promise I won't let you down,"

  We stood there for a moment, just looking at each other. I could see the love and hope in his eyes, and I knew that I had made the right decision.

  Finally, he spoke again. "So, does this mean we can start over?" he asked. "Fresh start?"
