CHAPTER 66 His Parents

  LEAH'S POV

As I walked to class, I thought about all the times I had spent with Aiden, both the good and the bad. I remembered the way he had made me feel at first, like I was the only girl in the world. But I also remembered the way he had hurt me, the way he had betrayed my trust. And I knew that I couldn't go back to that, no matter how much he claimed to have changed.

In the end, I was glad that I had moved on. Ian was everything that Aiden had never been, and he made me feel safe and loved.

I arrived at my class and took my seat, grateful for the distraction. As the professor began to speak, I allowed myself to focus on the lesson and put my thoughts about Aiden out of my mind. For now, I just wanted to focus on the present and the future, and leave the past where it belonged.
