Ella's POV
Of course, today is the day someone bumps into me, and I fall face-first in the middle of the road.
Already stressed and tired after a long night. With everything that happened last night still itching under my skin, I tossed and turned all night.
I was so angry, so hurt, and humiliated. The feeling of not having a place to belong, of being worthless, had emerged with full force, and I struggled to keep it down. It wasn't fair, and I didn't do anything wrong.
But no matter what I said to myself, sleep kept his distance. Then this! I rushed away from the scene, cheeks still burning and heaving for air.
