CHAPTER 34 I Can't Shift!

　　Dear god, why me? There really isn't enough coffee here for this shit! I should have gulped down that beastwine before I left the room!

　　I tried to end the conversation there, but this woman was not having it. Grabbing my shoulder so hard, the pain rippled up my arm, and claws pierced my skin. I winched and gritted my teeth not to scream.

　　She hissed between her teeth to avoid the attention the closest people started giving us.
