CHAPTER 40 A Mandatory Pack Weekend

　　I didn't get it. I really didn't.

　　Yes, I saw how awkwardly she landed when she jumped down. But why would she even do that? Ragnar would have laid down, and he was about to even! That's not the worst part; why didn't she heal faster? I first saw an opportunity to swoop her off her feet and carry her away from Bruno and everyone else.

　　But I had expected her foot to be fully healed by the time I sat her down. It was not. Instead, it was red and swollen! She didn't even seem to think any of it. We werewolves heal incredibly fast! Being the daughter of an Alpha, she should have healed even faster.

　　Despite all of that, she acted like nothing was wrong like this was normal! It most definitely was not! Luckily Greenwally Luna was a doctor, and I managed to convince her we needed her services. Barging in on Blaze brushing Aria's hair, something that didn't bother me, and shushed the Luna in.
