Ryan's POV
That call had taken much longer than I expected last night and when I came back Aria was fast asleep already. I was so disappointed, but also irritated on myself. I kept staring at her in the rear-view mirror, but she avoided my gaze Something was different today.
She didn't push me away, but she avoided me. Seemed cold and distanced. Every time she answered, it was short and didn't leave room for any conversations.
I don't know how but she managed to walk around me before breakfast, under and after. She didn't appear before we were ready to leave.
"I'm sorry about last night!"
"It is okay."
The half smile she gave me didn't fool anyone. I bit the frustration in, and my knuckles whitened on the steering wheel.
Why did women do this?
Say one thing and mean something else! Obviously, it wasn't okay!
"I mean it Aria! I looked for you and left as fast as I could!"
"I know! And like I said, its fine! I was tired and fell asleep. That's all."
