CHAPTER 70 Fear of Rejection

  Ryan's POV

This day, like the last, has been packed, meeting after meeting. I didn't even manage to go back home last night. But all I could think of was her. Ragnar kept pushing images of her through our minds, and I knew he was struggling. The hunter's mark only went so far, but the burning need and desire to mark her grew with each minute. She was his mate, my mate, our second chance. I already knew I wanted that chance; knew I wanted her.

I should have marked her on our wedding night the first time I met her. But things had not been that easy. I had been an ass; she, a feisty little minx with her claws out. So much had happened, though, and I knew it could not be delayed much more. However, this is supposed to happen naturally. Both wolves connect, agreeing, but between us, that never happened.
