CHAPTER 77 The Alpha Ceremony

  Ryan's POV

All the formalities brushed past me like a colorful bliss.

I knew it was a huge moment in my life, a moment I'd dreamed of and longed for since I was a child. Even as I grew up, that childish wish and dream followed me, only hidden better. This was not what I had pictured.

Formal, swift, and more mandatory than anything else. I knew it was partly my own fault because my head was not in it. I also began to blame Hannah. I couldn't believe she packed up and left like this, and I was starting to realize she had made a fool of me. That this had all been planned from her side. How have I not seen it? Even when Ella tried to tell me, I had been blind to it. Refused to let the reality of our friendship sinks in. It made me think, what else had she been hiding? Who was she really? Because the Hannah I knew would never do anything like this.
