CHAPTER 84 Lose My Mind

  Ella's POV

I rocked back and forth on the cold and wet floor while bone-chilling cries from the baby echoed off the walls down the dark corridor. I'm in shock; I know I am, but I can't snap myself out of it. I kept rocking, swaying while my eyes were glued to the never-ending darkness right in front of me. The movement was more of a forced muscle reaction; over and over, the same motion repeated.

I could feel the rough floors scrape through the skin on my ankles and poke holes up my legs, but I still could not stop. I'm losing my mind; it was all I could say. Why I said it, I had no idea; I muttered the words out in the dark for nobody to hear but me. But at least ii heard something besides the endless screams and cries that had burned into my mind.

  "I'm losing my mind."

My whisper even felt forging. Scared to death when I arrived here, I was determined not to let him break me. Not letting this place break me, but that was before I saw what went on down here.
