"I will not reject him," I tell Luca. "This is not up for negotiation."
"If Father were still alive, he would be terribly disappointed in you, Rowena. He would never want to see his daughter mated to an Omega," Luca growls.
"Lies," I scream back at Luca. "He would want me to follow my heart."
"You are the daughter of an Alpha," Luca screams at me. "You are of noble birth. I will not allow this."

　　I managed to make my way back to my apartment without being stopped. Freya reluctantly ran the whole way back, but she didn't say a word to me while she ran.


　　As we arrive at the apartment building, Freya runs behind the building to allow me to shift back into my human form.


　　Kneeling naked on the dirty ground, I look around me to make sure no one has seen me. 'What am I supposed to do now?' I ask Freya. 'I can't walk in there naked.'


　　'That isn't my problem,' Freya huffs in my mind. 'If you would have listened to me in the first place, you wouldn't be in this situation.'


　　'He tried to buy us, Freya,' I shout at my wolf. 'Is that really the kind of mate you want?'


　　'You don't know why he tried to buy us,' Freya growls. 'You never will if you don't give him a chance to explain.'
