CHAPTER 60 Mistake

  Zoe POV

The sound of someone knocking on my door wakes me from my sleep. I groan as I turn and look at the time on my bedside table. It is barely 5:00 am. The sun isn't even peeking over the mountains yet. I groan loudly and put my head under the pillows, but whoever is at my door is refusing to give up.

  "Hold on," I grumble.

I slip from the bed and find an oversized t-shirt to cover my naked body. I quietly pad to the door and open it just a few inches. The scent of fresh grass fills my senses, and a pair of brown eyes peer at me through the darkness.

"Leo," I hiss. "What are you doing here?"

"I needed to see you," Leo whines.

"We have been through this before," I whisper. "We can't do this."

"Why not?" Leo speaks too loudly.

I peek my head out of the door and look up and down the darkened hallway. There is no sign of anyone. Grabbing Leo by the hand, I yank him into my bedroom and shut the door behind him.
