Rowena POV
Mason's phone begins to ring, and he moans in frustration, hiding his head underneath the pillow. I roll my eyes at him and reach over him to grab his phone. I freeze when I see the name on the screen: Alpha Tristan.
"You need to answer this," I nudge Mason. "It is your Alpha."
"He's not my Alpha anymore," Mason groans.
I kick Mason in the side, and he falls off the bed. "Stop being stubborn," I say as he hits the floor. "Call him back. What if it is important."
"You are the only thing that is important to me," Mason reminds me. "Alpha Tristan knows that."
"What if the call is about me?" I ask in a whisper, thinking about the fact that Tristan is my mate.
Mason rubs his hand down his face and groans loudly. He reaches out his hand for me, and I place his phone in it instead. Mason looks at the phone, and a voicemail dings across the screen.
