Travis' POV
I no longer felt as though I was in a dream, I could feel myself awakening. As though I had been in a deep sleep, and I was stirring from the light of the morning. Except the warmth which brought me from my sleep now, wasn't from the sun, it was from the comfort of Ayssa's gentle voice.
'I think we're waking up,' Clayton said in my mind, his voice bouncing with happiness 'I can feel it, open your eyes,'
'I'm trying,' I said in return, desperate to awaken and see Alyssa for myself. I needed to take her in, touch her and feel the warmth of her by my side. 'It's hard, but we can do it,' I said, determined to wake up.
All of a sudden, I felt the stabbing pain in my chest which automatically made my memory trip back to the moment I was shot. Taking the bullet into me, the pain was coming back as my body stirred with me.
Burning all over my body, I felt as though my flames seared my body, starting from my chest and extending down my limbs and to my fingertips.
