Alyssa's POV
"I'm pretty sure we're doing this wrong," I said, trying not to laugh so much it hurt my ribs even more than they already did.
"You mean, over the threshold?" Travis asked with a chuckle "I think we're always going to be one of those couples who go against the social norm,"
Travis held me in his strong arms, he carried me as though I weighed nothing and as we entered through the front door, I felt a familiar sense of safety.
"I would like to think if we did this again, you would make love to me as soon as you placed me down," I said, with such a suggestion I couldn't believe the words came from my mouth. I blamed the medication, the morphine seemed to make me lower my inhibitions at the moment.
I watched as Travis' cheeks flushed pink from my words, and all of sudden his eyes avoided my gaze. He remained silent as he took me inside, carrying me over to the sofa he set me down comfortably.
