I remained frozen, unable to process the shocking sight before me. There, standing before me, was Gabriel, the man who had haunted my nightmares and inflicted unimaginable pain upon me. His presence alone sent a chilling wave of fear coursing through my veins, and yet, he stood there with a twisted smile plastered across his face, acting as if his mere existence was nothing out of the ordinary. Questions and doubts swirled in my mind like a violent storm. How had he managed to find me? And why was he so nonchalant about the suffering he had inflicted upon me?
Trembling, I mustered the courage to speak, my voice barely above a whisper. "Gabriel," I stammered, trying to find the strength to confront him. "What are you doing here? How did you manage to find me?"
His smile widened, revealing a hint of darkness that sent shivers down my spine. "Oh, my darling Daisy," he cooed, his voice dripping with a sickening sweetness. "I have my ways. I always find what I'm looking for."
