Gabriel's POV
I couldn't help but wonder what had brought him to our doorstep after all these weeks of silence, what had prompted him to seek reconciliation now. The thought of facing him once again filled me with a sense of unease.
His eyes met mine, and for a moment, we stood silently, a silent acknowledgement passing between us like a whisper in the wind.
"Gabriel," he spoke, his voice rough with emotion. "May I come in?"
I hesitated for a moment, the wounds of the past still raw and tender within me. But as I looked into his eyes, I saw a glimmer of remorse and regret, a flicker of hope and longing for redemption.
He cleared his throat, the sound breaking the silence like a crack in the facade of our carefully constructed walls. "Gabriel, I know that I have hurt you and Daisy deeply in the past. I come here today to ask for your forgiveness, to make amends for the pain and suffering I have caused. I would like to see my daughter, please?"
