CHAPTER 79 Deceptive Divide

  Jackson's POV

My eyes were closed while I leaned my head against the headrest of the chair. I was in deep thoughts when the door to the office was pushed open and someone marched, and I didn't bother to see who it was. I already knew who it was with just the rude behavior of pushing my door open.

"Are you asleep? We need to talk. You can't believe what Caroline did to me today," she said, gaining my attention, and I lifted my head to look at her.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, opening my eyes to look at her, and realized she was in tears. I frowned and scanned her length to see if she was injured, but she was perfectly okay, so why was she crying then.

"How can you just sit there when something bad just happened? You need to go there and give that lady what she deserves," she said, and I slowly sat up to look at her with a frown.
