Caroline's POV
I exhaled, trying to calm my beating heart. The maids tried to be gentle on me while preparing me for the big day. Jennifer stepped into the room after knocking on the door, "and if it isn't the queen herself," she beamed as she walked towards me with a smile.
"Jennifer," I breathed and tried to stand up, but she placed her hands on my shoulders from behind and just stared at me in the mirror with a smile.
"You look gorgeous," she complimented, and I heaved a sighing. She realized I was worried and narrowed her gaze. "What? Don't tell me you want to back down now," she said with a frown, but I shook my head immediately.
"No, that's not it. I'm just nervous, and I have never felt this nervous before. Even during our first wedding, I never felt it to this extent," I explained, and she breathed in relief.
