CHAPTER 14

Caecilia smiled and answered casually, "A man."

Caecilia couldn't contain her excitement and innocently expressed it.

"Who? A man who?" Calix asked

Calix, the oldest sibling in the family, immediately feels protective of his mother. He wanted to make sure that nothing would hurt or disturb his mother.

Rebecca tried to explain casually, "Nothing, my dear. Just someone passing by.”

Reyna, the baby sister who looks after Rebecca's children who are also at home, intervenes in the conversation. She said in a cheerful tone, "Just leave it alone if it's a man, kids. There's nothing to worry about."

However, the children's reactions to Reyna's comments surprised him. They looked at Reyna with sharp gazes, especially Calix who looked very serious.

"Ah, sorry," Reyna said nervously. "I was just kidding. There's nothing to worry about."
