CHAPTER 49

Calix looked at his mother with hope in his eyes. He wanted to feel acknowledged and not sidelined in a moment that was important to his mother.

Hana continued,"What if we try to make this moment a special moment for all of us? We can arrange a special time to be alone with Thomas and also time to play together as a family."

Calix paid close attention to his mother's words. He began to understand that family togetherness is a priceless thing.

"Maybe we can make a plan together, where we can be alone with Thomas and also still involve you in our family activities. We can talk to Uncle Thomas and find a good solution for everyone," Hana suggested hopefully.

"No! I still want to go with them!" Calix snapped.

"Okay, come on!" Thomas said simply. However, in his heart, he grumbled that Calix must have been his rival from an early age.
