  But as I held the pancake in my trembling hands, the weight of my despair bore down upon me like a crushing weight, threatening to suffocate me with its suffocating embrace. In that moment of overwhelming anguish, I uttered the words that had been haunting my thoughts for days.

  "I want to kill myself," I whispered, the words heavy with the weight of my despair.

  "What are you even thinking!?" Xia exclaimed, her voice tinged with panic. "You can't just do this. Leaving me is a bad idea," she added, her words a desperate plea for reason in the face of my overwhelming despair.

  "Or I might be dead too-"

  "No, you're able to roam freely," I interrupted her, my tears flowing freely as I struggled to find solace amid my anguish.

  "My efforts are all wasted because of Blaire. She's always the winner," I whispered, the bitterness of defeat lacing my words. "Nothing ever changes," I added, my voice heavy with resignation.
