Dana POV
"Bathel," Elda continued, addressing the Alpha who stood solemnly at the edge of the circle, "you are tasked with upholding the traditions and values of our pack. The Luna must ensure the continuation of our bloodline. A barren Luna cannot fulfill this sacred obligation."
Bathel's jaw tightened, his fur bristling with defiance. "With all due respect, Elda," Bathel spoke, his voice firm yet respectful, "Dana's worth to our pack transcends her ability to bear children. She is a leader in her own right, beloved by our kin and respected by our allies. To cast her aside solely for her infertility would betray everything we stand for." His hands hold mine.
"Elda speaks wisdom," declared Garen, a grizzled elder with a voice like thunder. "The continuation of our pack rests upon the shoulders of our Luna. Without heirs, our lineage falters, and with it, our very existence."
