"I killed her," I announced confidently to the menacing men from the Black River Pack, my voice ringing out in the tense silence.
In reality, I hadn't killed her yet. Blaire was still alive, tied up in the forest, wounded from a gunshot.
Hernando's head shook in disbelief. "No... No," he mumbled, his voice barely audible amidst the chaos. "What have you done!" he yelled, his desperation evident as he lunged toward me. However, Ares intervened, forcefully pushing him away before he could reach me.
"I explicitly instructed you to address me," Ares reminded him icily, his patience wearing thin.
Hernando clenched his jaw, his gaze sweeping the area. "Where is my daughter..." he muttered, his eyes fixed on me.
"In the forest," I stated plainly.
He gritted his teeth, turning to address his men. "Let's move!" he commanded, his voice filled with determination.
"Expect your demise upon my return," Hernando muttered, his gaze fixed on both Ares and me.
