CHAPTER 79 Vows of Vengeance

　　It was brief, so brief.

　　Hearing Benson's voice in my mind, asking where I was, was so quick, that I could barely maintain the mental connection between us after drinking the water Jimmy had given me minutes before.

　　My body starts protesting with the discomfort I'm feeling. There's something wrong, something very wrong. My eyes are too heavy, I can barely keep them open, Lily is so quiet inside me, and even my new powers are dormant.

　　Jimmy took me to a room after two days locked in the office chair. There was a debate between him and Nina about proceeding with the plan to marry me; I noticed Nina's discontent, I noticed the hatred rising in her eyes. Jimmy was in danger not only from my and Benson's revenge but also from Nina's disdain and hatred.

　　At the end of the days, when the night was about to fall, Jimmy would come to visit me. To boast about his plans for me, just as he had done minutes ago.
