CHAPTER 23 History Repeats Itself

  Ally's POV

Elliot navigates the maze of streets with a predator's precision, finally stopping at the dimly lit parking lot of a nondescript hotel. It's a place designed to be forgotten.

The Villa has been discovered so we have to move, fast, but we need a safe place to sleep. Elliot's injuries need time to heal.

"Stay close," he instructs as we make our way to the reception. His eyes are vigilant, scanning for threats unseen but always felt. Nathan's shadow looms over us, a noose tightening around our necks.

Once inside the sanctuary of our rented room, the door clicks shut, sealing us away from the world. Elliot leans against the wooden barrier, his breath ragged, his chest rising and falling with the exertion of our escape.
