Nathan's POV
The flickering candles cast a soft glow across the table, creating shadows that dance upon Ally's features. She is ethereal, like a creature spun from moonlight and dreams- a stark contrast to the darkness I harbour within me. As Nathan pretending to be Elliot, I pour her another glass of wine, the crimson liquid swirling hypnotically.
"Thank you," she whispers her voice a melody that tickles at the recesses of my soul. Her fingers brush against mine as she takes the glass, sending an electric surge through me. This act, so innocent yet intimate, ignites a flame that had long been extinguished by the coldness of my true nature.
I savour the heat of her skin against mine for a moment longer than necessary. "Anything for you," I reply, my words laced with an affection I'm convincingly imitating.
