Everly ran up the stairs leading to Devan's office, pushing past the crowd of people that were streaming up and down the stairs. She cursed herself under her breath, continuously blaming herself for not being patient enough to wait for the elevator.
Anyway, it was completely her fault, as she wanted to desperately meet with Devan before he left for good. Although Cleo sounded as if he had already left, a part of her would rather not accept that fact until she saw things for herself.
She doubled her steps, sweating and panting at the same time, until she got to his office. "Devan" she called out, turning the door knob, but it was locked.
"Devan" Everly called again, this time resolving to knock on the door.
"I know you are angry, but we need to have a conversation on this, so open up. I know you are in there" She said over her voice, banging the door loudly.
