"Speaking of the devil," Dorothy said, darting her eyes away from Everly to Leo, who just got back from work with Ethan behind him holding a leather briefcase.
"What is the tantrum you are throwing about?" He asked with an expressionless look on his face.
"I can't believe you are standing there asking me such a stupid question when it is already obvious what it is" Dorothy shot back at him.
"Mum, as you can see, I just came back from work, I had a long, stressful day and the only thing I need right now is to rest my head, not your drama" Leo replied.
"Great! I am now considered an actor because I am trying to uproot a weed that had found its way into my tendered garden" Dorothy said, pushing her chair backward again.
"Mum, can you please stop pointing out every word I say and attaching meanings to them?" Leo asked in a strained, tired voice.
