As he neatly folded his clothes in the black branded suitcase on top of the bed, Alex stood at the opposite side of the bed staring at him in such a way that spoke volume about how he wanted Devan to say something and stop whistling.
"Are you really serious about leaving without giving her any feedback?" Alex finally spoke up.
"My departure should be enough to answer her offer" Devan replied as he continued folding his clothes.
"But don't you think it would be much better to tell her about it to her face rather than ghosting her?"
"Such conversation is not a one to pursue, I know Dorothy, she wouldn't just let me make such a decision against what her wish is without wanting to push me into it forcefully" Devan answered.
"We all know how she can be" Alex said in a resentful way, "Coming to think about why you concluded on not wanting to be a part of her scheme, is it because of Leo you came to that decision?"
